Delves and M+

Nothing reasonable about it if you’d have to do it with low level gear - which is what you’re suggesting.

You’re gatekeeping gear, pure and simple. Everybody can clearly see that.
Your nonsense takes aren’t fooling anyone.

Personally the main issue I see with Delves is how fast one can obtain gear from them compared to M+, which in the long run cause problems for lower key levels. I also find it strange that the heroic gear given from them is 616, more than what early heroic bosses drop.

I think it would help them a good deal if they lower the ilvl of the hero track gear you get to entry level, possibly alter the maps so they either drop less, or they drop more often but they only give almost maxed out champion gear, and in exchange make delves award more crests so that the power progression is more gradual. It allows delvers to make use of their champion gear in there, make their vault stay substantial while also providing a more consistent power curve.

It will also indirectly help out lower mythic plus keys as we will not have such a big gear inflation thanks to the gear drops from Delves.

I started M+ a few weeks later in the season, and I was kind of unlucky with gear drops on my mage, but I did manage to get him to 603 ilvl. By the second week I could not get into the +2 keys I signed up for. Only one group invited me, who then failed to do the key as they got stuck on the last boss. The only option I have then is either ask guildies to do content with me that gives them little to no rewards, or I try to do a m0 for a key and then try to do that, and hope that my key is enticing enough for a tank and a healer to join in.

Currently I do not see a reason for them to do so, as delves provide more readily available gear. M+ gives a group of 5 2 piece of loot for 30 minute of time investment. Delves can range from 10 minute to half an hour of time investment for a guaranteed piece of gear for everyone in the group for a key. Perhaps key acquisition rate should also be touched in some way to lower the number of keys one can get.

Drop less? I run 6 characters and maybe see 1 map a week lol…

The maps are rare enough.Very rare.

Weeklies actually.
But yeah, it was slow (which I’m personally fine with) and very limited (not fine).
I literally never had hero gear before TWW (not counting the bullion weapon and trinkets you could buy in s4 - because that wasn’t the norm in regular seasons).

So getting almost a full set of champion in week 1 was insane to me. Of course those pieces need to be leveled and I didn’t have enough stones and crests for even a little part of that back then. The upgrading is the slower part of gearing now in this season; and I don’t mind that personally.

The gear atm is Champ>Hero>what ever the last teir is lol. the rest doesn’t matter and could be blues, How do I know this? Blizzard giving champs away with the next patch :stuck_out_tongue:

Only ppl who have a hang up on it is the M+ bro’s if you play CoD would be the same types who abuse SBMM to drop nukes so show how “good” they are :stuck_out_tongue: ie kids lol.

Also for you, don’t generalize.

M+ could use a generous increase in the loot at the end.

Going through the entire thing just to find an empty chest is not nice

Average Mythic Plus Run (A Short WoW Machinima by Nixxiom) (youtube.com)

cleared delves for the weeks on several toons. and RNG gods blessed one char with a tier. rest got either necks or trinkets both which i already got a long time ago. so yeah they dont need to touch the loot of delves. Just change up for M+ and leave delves alone. if that is to hard to do. then again… just seperate the gearing route which i have already stated how to do

it isnt the best. it isnt ideal but it is fair that the casuals get good gear for a change instead of us being low geared while raiders and M+ players gets their sets for the season and ends subscription or goes over to sell runs. Giving delvers good gear only blocks the reason to buy boost aswell as giving us the chanse to survive in the overworld at the same level as the high end players.

Reading the forums every post is but my M+… so hard not to…

Of course it’s one sided, the side which have the far superior gear acquisition aren’t going to complain lol.

Their problem is that people who don’t like delves feel forced to play delves to gear up bc it’s far faster.

People who like delves and don’t like M+ don’t have the opposite problem.

Yes. Gear should be a reward for completing challenging content. It should require you to do something that requires effort proportionate to the reward.

Trying to paint that as a bad thing means you’re playing the wrong game. That is how WoW gearing has always worked.

Not really. Stones and crest aquisition is way better in M+.
So yeah, you might get faster base gear in delves, but upgrading it is another matter altogether.

You don’t get to decide what’s proportionate or not, though.

But even if that were the case… You acting as if it’s always been like that just proves that you really don’t know much about this game. I can name numerous examples of big upgrades that weren’t proportionate with any sort of difficulty.

Like I’ve been saying: Go ask for changes to M+. I don’t care what happens there. Ask for mythic raid gear to drop from +3’s. Absolutely fine with me. Couldn’t care less.

Just back off with trying to ruin Delves for people like myself.

Ah yes it was super hard during WOTLK to que for hc instances then get valor points to buy raid level gear every single week

Just face it mate, you like everyone else who likes the toxic world of M+ hates that everyone else who dont like the toxic wow getting gear :joy:

Also to say that raiding and M+ requires skills and hard work these days is just wrong considering we have a huge % who slaps someone in the face with gold to get what they want. Delves just removes some of the reasons to buy boosts. That in it self is a damn good thing.

Not true at all.
In Legion(and I loved that xpack) you get Legendaries from WQ,in Bfa you got Hc gear from Warfronts(I miss those). And there may be more examples but these are enough for now.
You clearly are trying to gatekeep.
Its just gear, nothing happens if someone like me gets some ,ok…Let it go.

Is this some new fashion trend or something now?
I want the shinnies
Well. Work for those shinnies.
OmgEz ToXEC gatekeeper ElITiST. I paY the suB tOO. I WANT SHINNIEs NOAW!

That’s the thing: We are working for them.
However for some people that still isn’t enough and they want us to work harder to fit their standards. It’s petty. :person_shrugging:t3:

We have been underserved for quite a while.
So yeah I want some shinnies, why not?Its not like I am getting them “in the mail”.
I am doing content for them.
I am not taking anything from you so why do you care if I get something?

My team (our guild ) is selling boost in Mythic+ 10 hc/mythic raid for nearly 4 Expansions. KSM or anything you want .

You can afk /stay dead. At the end you get you shinnies.

I Mean we can make an exception and giving you a free boost to have your char 8/8 on Hc …( i mean being stuck on 7/8 hc while you over gear the boss and think you are a elite and making fun of others … What a joke/crap .

Meanwhile I think they should nerf the difficulty of the M+ Reward Curve by having Hero Loot being Baseline at M+5, Myth Crests at M+6 and Myth Vault at M+8 again.
I also think they should buff Delves by increasing the Chance for Treasure Maps the higher the difficulty and once you complete the 10 Treasure Map Achievment make those Treasure Maps Warbound. Additionally every difficulty level above 8 should raise the Heroic Crests per 2 so that you are incentived to go for higher difficulties because this way you can faster gear your Twinks while also as a Solo player being faster to get your gear to 619
