Delves are now unplayable - Congratulations

I’m playing delves solo only and most changes were for groups. However, even for solo I don’t think that there was a single day since the start of the season when there were no changes with delve balance.

What bugs me that a lot of them are hidden and you have to reverse-engineer them. It does not feel good at all.

All balance changes should be in patchnotes, otherwise it’s nonsence.

It looks like they are trying to save their face by non-admitting some problems and are trying to silently hotfix them, but it looks even worth in the end as people still can find them, or look the real changes on wowhead.

I’ve now run 2 x t8 solo delves at 581 ilvl with Brann as healer @ 19 - I cleared one with no deaths, but the other one I died 3 times on the way to the boss and then the boss repeatedly kicked my a$$ until I gave up. I’d say the tuning is maybe a little easier than what it should be, but not by much, at least for Ret.

Have to say, I find Delves very fun.

I also had a blast in them. Even a process of discovering bugs and cheeses on your own is fun for me, that’s why I like solo content. However I don’t see myself doing them for more than a week or two at max in the current state. Will most likely suspend the subscription and return season 2.

I would also say, though, that they look like a really good and fun content for those, who want to kickstart their m+ gearing. For this purprose they are in a really good state, and if I was an m+ tryhard, the fact that they are here and fun for a week would be a perfect spot for me as well.

The problem is that it does not look like an alternative engame track. It is a way to make suffer group players in solo content they didn’t want to get a kickstart and a way to tunnel solo players in group play if they want any progress/fun after week 1.

yep. I had fun running them with groups and still have challenge there. now it feels tedious and all the fun have been drained away. they made these into Thorgast 2.0 in record time. Grats blizzard! New record

Can’t solo need group ppl seem mad at these changes.

What changes? outside of some cheese mechanics which feeled bad, the solo game, I believe, went only easier with patches. It’s grouping which had a hard time. The only change that increased difficulty in solo game is that Heralds can spawn in lower tiers now, but you don’t need to kill them and when they will start drop smth useful (badges?) you will be only happy that you can farm them outside T9+.

SP is pretty OP in delves :D. But going solo as 600 ilvl guardian druid and get destroyed by two trash mobs in T8 is not fun. Please mind that delves wasn’t advertised as mage tower 2.0 but as a complete opposite - a (solo) activity for casual players as alternative gearing path to raids.

How is it fun when you can stomp progressive content with a group? Yes i have participated into groups too but delves shouldn’t be fast paced content that you run with Mythic+ mindset. Pull everything and hope the best. I can’t sign that letter.

I mean they are easy to solo compared to groups and thats problem here when solo peeps can do them somewhat faster and easier than group. The scaling is still off in both solo and group and needs to be tuned down the hell down because its just not fun, plain and simple

Which is the way it should be… These should have been solo only, the fact mobs had less hp and damage with more players show how much testing they did…

Did you try t8 solo vs team on day 1… struggle to maybe clear vs done in 5mins…

As it should be? You have more damage… more healing… more interupts as a party… Shouldn’t have been group play from the start.

I share the same sentiment on delves, I even stopped the subscription because of this.

I can guarantee you that posting on the forum will not do as much as posting in the “why did you cancel your subscription” field.

Here you’re usually met with ostility and positive toxicity no matter what you do.
Wow community should be studied because it’s really one of a kind.

Because ppl want to be carried as they can’t clearly do it solo? lol good luck ppl quit in their droves over raid or die did it change…

Stop hiding behind an alt and post with your main. I bet this just another classic case of skill issue.

For me, it’s all about meaningful gear progression. I quit DF pretty early in S3 because there was nothing for me to gain from gearing up. The mobs were all under-tuned and as I don’t do dungeon or raid there was no content I wanted to play that needed a higher ilvl. I don’t care enough about “number go up” to max out my gear upgrading just for the sake of it. Delves give me an achievement I can work towards and a purpose to getting better gear.

after todays hotfix 5 mans are a snoozefest again in +8 since they moved the named elites back to +9

very slow one because everything has bazzilion health but making you want to fall asleep during it

so now everyone can get their boosts for champions gear again

which is more then ok for me

main problem will be aquisition of keys to make it even worth to run +8 on alts.

Nobody want’s to be caried here I think, but they were a fun and somewhat relaxed experience that would reward good loot (limited in number) for casual players.

Let’s be honest here, if you’re a wow pro, this is the only week you will care about delves for gear.
Next week you will jump at M+ and forget delves ever existed outside of your weekly cache.

This did not impact any “pro player”, just the casuals and more relaxed individuals that did not want to deal with M++ environment.

So long story short, this is not just a “delves hotfix” but a huge statement from blizzard on which kind of target audience they fully cater to, which is nice of them to do this early in the expansion.

Some of us are playing a game, some of us are getting played by it.

Sounds like l2p issues. Seriously I am soloing them as a ele shammy with bran below level 20. Get good.

Between crying over loot and carrying crap players Raiding is not for me since Cata…

Delves where sold as solo content and should be tuned for that… before the hot fixes they were not possible on some classes and takes too long vs jumping in a party and doing it in 5mins or so… Someone posted that they made the mobs easier with more players sorry but that is just wrong.

You mean the same statement Blizzard put out how to be solo player? Raiders and group content like that is as niche as PvP… LFR is propping the numbers up.

Solo also feels different. I was able to pull multiple packs in T8 and chat in local while I was doing so. Completely different experience from yesterday. Looks like happened what I was afraid, instead of tuning the mechanics they just gutted all the numbers.

Will go to T11 to check if the changes affected experience there in the same way as well.
