I dislike this.
I don’t like timers either.
This is ok in higher levels maybe.
Or for Achievements like “Complete Delve with 0 Death” for a title or something. Like Gold in a Race for doing in a certain time.
meh, unlikely to impact me anyhow.
I don’t like time limits or death caps personally.
Eh, I’m fine with that… still in no rush unlike a timer.
Seems Torghastian.
I wouldn’t be surprised if 11.1 removed/made changes to it too.
A completely unnecessary addition that only adds an arbitrary sense of stress.
They could make it as an additional option, where you get an extra reward from if you finish it in X time or/and X deaths.
They better fix them then.
I’ve fallen through the world several times when using abilities that move me in them.
If you can just go back in anyway that’s fine. Probably for the best people aren’t chain dying to packs and dragging them back to respawn points to get past something.
I am really interested to see how this one plays out tbh
Presents a challenge.
Might be good for the community and the playerbase’s mentality, long-term.
Accepting defeat is helpful sometimes. For your brain, I mean. I believe it helps you keep in touch with reality every now and then.
Actions, or lack thereof, bear consequences regardless of motivation or intention which can seem unfair, but that’s just reality and accepting it is step number one to a healthier mindset and better decision-making.
On the other hand if delves are mishandled this could also turn into an, as someone said, “Torghastian” disaster. I do however still stand by my previous paragraph.
For now, just wait and see.
Blizzard: “people are enjoying this?..QUICK, MAKE IT TORGHAST 2.0”
In principle its fine.
Im not sure you should be able to die loads and still win.
you mean, like in raid?
If you wipe once in a raid encounter the fight resets, this lets you wipe 5 times.
Me too. There’s no need for it.
Now, I doubt I’ll be doing delves past level 8 since the gear rewards stop there and the 2 cosmetic rewards you get for doing the harder levels just aren’t things I like the look of, so I wouldn’t mind if they did this for level 9 and beyond. These are the levels where you can pull such a thing; people with the fitting mindset will be doing those. But not the earlier levels.
But yeah… Bad move imo.
They’re not understanding their target audience (which really, unfortunately, doesn’t surprise me).
They’re giving with one hand (by having various levels of difficulty, unlike Mage Tower).
But taking away with the other hand (adding arbitary limits).
I agree with you. The Target Audience for Delves are the people who don’t do M+ and many of those don’t do so because of gaming skill capabilities (for many reasons).
Whats the target audience then?
People who refuse to accept they failed no matter how badly they did? What kind of game is that…
I swear to god if pacman came out now youd all be complaining its toxic and gives you anxiety issues or something.
This is so stupid. Death Limits or Time Limits are just there to add annoyance to the gameplay, totally unneccesary feature.
It gives up to heroic gear, having a bare minimum of challenge it’s expected. It’s a good change, put some damn effort if you want the second best gear in the game.
If someone is so low skilled that can’t complete it without constantly wiping, they don’t deserve the reward.
