Delves - Death Limit Added

No. You already have 3 other activities. Stop being greedy and wanting this one thing players like me are FINALLY getting after 19 years, changed to something YOU will like.

It’s the epitomy of selfishness.

If they drop heroic raid ilvl loot, they should be of comparable difficulty to other content that drops heroic raid ilvl loot.

heroic raid is a meme, lets be* reasonable here mate

I’m so angry that I have half the mind to only finish the story and never touch a piece of end game and go play ESO instead. “Hi casual playerbase we neglected for 20 years, we are giving you something finally and making you a fourth pillar but actually we just want to slowly turn you into the other playbase.”

They better change it back.

Once you over gear it from other sources, absolutely. I don’t think delves need to be difficult for me, but they should be comparable to other sources of equal ilvl gear.

Then they should tune the difficulty. And not put in unfun mechanics that make this into a stressful, punishing environment.

Like… A weekly quest that you can basically just leech your way through?
Remember that the ‘big’ gear only drops once per week. It requires a key that you can only get once per week. That is very important to remember.

They already said its endgame progression. Just because you imagined it would drop loot and let you proceed to the next level for faiiling doesnt mean it was ever intended to be so.

We’re back to the old im selfish and youre entitled loop.

Whatre you losing besides time? If you lose something else then I’m right there with you. Like if a fail costs the key you put in that absolutely sucks, but if you can just go back and try again I’m not seeing why that’s a problem.

I’m not saying I should ‘proceed to the next level for failing’ AT ALL.
Please read my previous posts again.

Entitled to want the one type of endgame that this game has never given to part of its playerbase to actually be liked by that part of the playerbase and not the other part of the playerbase who have been swimming in content for 19 years?

That is entitlement, is it?

Fun.

Well, there you are then.

Dying already costs time. So why does it need to cost even more time?
And not only time; effort as well… You need to re-tread stuff you’ve already successfully done previously. How does that add anything to the experience?

It takes away from the experience. It makes it not fun.

should we punish heroic raiders then bcus myt+ is harder? ( keeping in mind the diff according to raid)

what i think we can all agree, and i feel bad spaming this, is that the death-reset penalty is just LAZY.

im full on the opinion that if you want something, you better move ur a s s and learn the thing, same happens with the pet raids, yes they exist, and yes, is a thing that i will never touch even with ur hand mate, but i also will not go to blizz and ask for the same things they get from doing it.

As i said, we live in 2024 and there is a plenty other games that bring more desirable combat and content design in a way that , even failing, doenst feel bad, they could bring thousands of mini-puzzles or new mechanics to packs and bosses besides moving out of the frontal/zonal/bad room position.

Again, 2024, and they just bring a 5 trys delves… c`mon, is just lazy and at this point just insulting, just scratch ur heads devs and bring us something new.

I’d say heroic raids are pretty comparable to the level of m+ that reward non repeatable heroic raid ilvl loot already. Farmable Vs non farmable is a relevant factor, and that factor should be accounted for with delves as well.

Delve difficulty should probably be something like an M0 at level 8 or possibly a smidge higher, then jump sharply from there to about a +12 finally for the level 13 unique boss.

Why do you think delves should get the nerf hammer and not the raiders?

you can be semi afk and get the same weakly reward, and lets not bring the 1st myth boss, almost always free.

I’m not sure what you’re getting at exactly with this. Delves offer a weekly opportunity at a maximum of heroic ilvl loot and vault completion with a maximum of heroic ilvl loot.

Other content that follows that pattern should be comparable.

If people wanna bash their head against something 100 times to manage then why not just let them? I dont understand why there has to be a cap to amount of deaths u can have :woman_shrugging:t3:

I’m only talking about level 1-8 here.
Levels 9-13 are prestige levels. Those can have this mechanic, since that fits the mindset better. But lower levels really don’t.

I imagine if you choose to 5 man a delve with 4 people who over gear the content you can semi afk to heroic ilvl loot the same as you can now.

and the death penalty will change nothing

A carry is a carry at the end of the day, doesn’t matter if you paid for it or what content it’s in, but the intended difficulties should be comparable.

Today I did 5 very simple tasks; I clicked ‘yes chef’ 3 times and bought 2 ingredients from an NPC vendor.

Then I flew to a spot and killed mobs for a bit.

Then I flew and waited for a while and then I proceeded to kill some more mobs and a boss.

Those 3 activities earned me a piece of heroic raid ilvl gear.

Then I proceeded to do 5 heroic level dungeons and I got another piece of heroic raid ilvl gear.

This ‘equal difficulty’ you’re talking about doesn’t exist. Things are not equally difficult.
And they don’t need to be. Players can do what they like doing.
