Demo main weakness

I got bored of demo after 30 games or so. Its awful to play.
I know a few other lock players who agree, its boring af.
Really havent seen many demo in 2v2 at least. Im only 1500, but dont see them as an issue at all.

Why do they get mentioned?
I have zero desire to play demo ever again

They’re quite high on the ladder… so although they feel really oppressed to play vs 90% of the dps in shuffle rn, they’re very good if you play them really well

Warlocks are pretty boring to play, there is no denying that. Before they becamse fotm in s3 and s4 of shadowlands and now s1 of dragonflight they were always one of the least played classes in the game, even tho they always performer good. The entire game would benefit from a complete rework of the warlock class.

I really enjoy playing demo.
Demo feels like a multitool, can burst, do sustain damage, peel well, crowd control everything.
Demo always offers a solution to any situation.
And because all of this demo is definitely an S Tier spec and the strongest caster just behind shadowpriest.

I love the pet, my precious Felguard. That’s the real reason for me playing demo. I would rather have my metamorphosis back. But this will never happen.

Yes demo is strong and i know nobody believes me, the weakness is the pets. They can be cc’ed. If you cc the Felguard, no axe toss, no ms effect. Then you only need to deal with 3 dogs.

3 dogs, the warlock and a bunch of imps… Can I perhaps interest in a tyrant as well?

Diminishing returns also works for pets + most cc’ spells do have a cooldown, so using it on a pet is mostly a wasted cooldown.
The only case where it generally makes sense to cc warlock pets is when pitlord is out and you’re able to do a mass root on felguard + pitlord

What indeed works against bad warlocks is just killing the pet.
If the lock doesnt control his pet properly its easy to kill and then you can try to deny the resummon

In fact I believe that the pets are the strongest part of the warlock since they do unavoidable damage and add crowd control that can be used while warlock is cc’d

Tyrant isn’t that strong anymore, compared to SL. But he buffs the other pets regardless of cc. Los him and he bugs.

The dr is new for me, but if you call a cc on burst damage wasted.

That is also good if the lock doesn’t play Pitlord. Like me. Don’t like nether Portal, remove it and give me meta back.

It is kinda both, the strongest but already the weakest part of the lock. The AI of blizzard isn’t that good

Since DF it is really hard to kill the pet.

Agreed, but we both know that’s never going to happen.

They had the best opportunity to do it in Bfa alpha all the way to Df yet they still kept this boring class the same. It’s reason why I cba playing arenas as much

Thats why you’re supposed to actively control your pet, ofc if you let it on auto zug zug it will get cc’d and focused and so

Why would you even burst if the enemy team is not cross cc’d ???

Also this argument works for every class in the game, if someone bursts, cc them
That’s how the game works, so its not some kind of “hidden weakness” of lock

My pet neve goes auto zug zug.

No but a pet can’t use a trinket. That’s why it is a weakness greater than normal.

I never said it is easy to cc the pets and it will guarantee a win. But it helps reducing the pressure

Players who trinket to burst while its not a guaranteed kill are dumb.
Wasting trinket in this meta = gg, next game

Since I dont feel like arguing with you about warlock anymore I recommend you to watch chanimal, he currently plays demo and he often comments what he does, so its easy to follow and easy to learn.

You misunderstood that, i mehr a pet will always sit in full duration.

Oh chan is back? I thought he stopped playing retail.
