Demo PvP talent need a rework

Why in the world the most used PvP talent of demo in nearly 8 years is still not a baseline?

  • Master demonologist is a go pick talent for so many reasons and years, and still it is still not included in the main demo tree instead of Umbral blaze or Pact of imp mother.

  • Fel lord - for a demon with 2 min CD it is crazy that he can be CCed. His swing speed or Swing delay doesn’t scale with haste. He takes a pause before make a first attack and you practicaly can RP walk out of his range after the first hit. On top of that since he cannot walk and his range is fairly low, why his attack doesn’t have any additional effect? If he can be damaged and killed make him chain people to himself like a spear of a warrior.

  • Bonds of fel - undertuned, has a cast time poorly designed mess.

  • Shadow rift - Requires you to set up your circle, cast Shadow rift and use CC to ensure that targets won’t RP walk out the range… This spell need some extra - like disabling mobility abilities of teleported enemies for a 5-8 seconds after the use.

  • Gateway mastery and Impish instincts needs to be merged with Dateway mastery and synch their range, in the world of Melee craft it is such a disasterous design where two undertuned and barely working mobility spells have different range and require two separate PvP talents in order to be barely usable.

  • Call observer - need a fix so he would register more magical spells, because with hybrids like shamans or DK, or even semi magical classes like DH observer doesn’t react on so many spells.

We need better PvP talents

  • like that would make Hand of Gul’dan instant, or make Imps shoot from greater range or be able to cast on the move. We need PvP talents to finally fix or patch some of our glaring issues like long hard casts or inability to do damage on the move.
  • PvP talent that would make call dreadstalkers to summon additional dog and increase their movement speed by 45-60%.
  • PvP talent that would make our demons immune to CC when Tyrant is active.

I also think it’s time to review Demonology’s PvP talents, especially after the Fel Obelisk was eliminated (I admit I didn’t love it, I preferred a self buff) and it wasn’t even replaced numerically

  • I really like your idea of Fel Lord chaining targets to the ground for a few seconds while hitting them (obviously in this case without stuns)

  • Master Demonologist should really be removed from the game as a talent, implemented by default in the Demonology warlock spells and Dreadstalkers should go back to being instant. Ok they can be later by casting shadowbolt and demon bolt, but an initial impact is really needed since the damage production is really very slow and at times disheartening

  • I’d like to have Spell Lock back from Demonology at 45 sec CD (here we could open a chapter on the need to give a silence to the only class in the game that doesn’t have it natively except via pet/sac), and the fact of say that "Demonology has too many CCs so we can’t give it the Spell Lock as well) it totally decays when you see a rogue and an unholy dk, who are obviously not removed from kick and brain freeze despite the CCs and the various micro CCs

  • A PvP talent I would really like to see would be a CD that the warlock can use when not in CC and that removes all root, slow, stun and fear effects from demons and makes them immune to these CC for a few seconds, causing them to enter enrage. Many years ago there was a normal talent like that whose name escapes me.

  • for the Hand of Gul’dan instant, it would be interesting to include a talent in the Demonology branch that exactly reflects the tier set of the first season of DF with shadowbolt and demon bolt with the possibility of empowering the Hand of Gul’dan making it instant and with greater damage or critical guaranteed

What also strikes me is that, given the excessive importance of the Charhound, this demon had a decidedly greater reactivity as well as a movement and charging speed similar to the Dreadstalkers. At this moment it is objectively frustrating to see a demon that, once summoned, stretches, reads the newspaper, drinks coffee and then decides to attack, with a hopping walk

Demonic Empowerment?

Worst part when for some reason Charhound or Gloomhound decided to attack random enemy…
