Anyone feeling like demon blades would be better off passive… and get demon bite as an attack worth more with a cd? We would gain a button more to press too!
To me the whole rotation of FB/DB seems kindof stupid. I mean, your builder are autoattacks and your fillers become throwglaives? Maybe I understood the build wrong, but if not, it feels not so not interesting.
Good thing I am having fun in dunegeons playing Veng, because this iteration of Havoc is not fun at all (for me).
Well, warrior rage is the same, autoattack generate rage, while some abilities too. I can’t stand demon bite, it feels like a waste of time… felblade/demon blades is better IMO, alto felblade plus auto’s become your builder

Demon Bite (and demon blades) is terrible in design.
It is pretty non-interactive, there’s no procs or any other secondary effects related to it (except one SL legendary) and it just feels weak and bad to use.
Compared to other specs that use some form of builder/spender mechanic almost all of them have one of the two defining features: a) builder use being limited by cooldown or resource, or b) the spender is a “big hit” that is not used often.
Example of the first one would be DK Runes, Legion Enhancement or Vengeance with Fracture talent, example of the second option would be Elemental or Destruction. And Rogue has both features.
Having a limited availability of your “builder” ability allows it to be stronger and feel better to use, it becomes an opportunity to get more resource, whereas Demon Bite - due to being weak, available anytime, and often having to use it 2-3 times in a row - feels like a boring chore that you want to forget about.
In another option having “spender” be a big sort of takes it out of your “rotation” and makes it its logical conclusion instead, so there’s no conflict between abilities and everything works smoothly.
Also in both of these there’s usually other built-in ways of building the resource - other abilities, AAs, some passive generation, etc.
We instead get neither. We get weak builder/filler, and spender that feels like a regular attack, and then we also have other abilities that cost resource too, all hinged on a single boring builder.
We have talents that change the way we build resource and makes it better, but none of them really solves the underlying issue except Demon Blades, which just takes it our of equation, but adds downtime issues because then you don’t have any “anytime” filler at all. It also warrants a particular talent combination to really work - Felblade is one, but even then you will still have downtime sometimes, unless i do something wrong you take VR/Impulse for extra generation - but VR/Impulse is on the dmg-oriented row so you can’t just take it for utility…
Vengeance has similar issues, but Vengeance has Fracture that fixes them

DH just feels horrible to play, honestly. Especially if you’re not first blood, you’re only using Demon Bite, Chaos Strike and Glaive Tempest/Eye Beam on cd.
It’s just boring as hell. We need more buttons, more proccs. Bring Bloodlet back, make First Blood baseline, make Demon Blades baseline, anything, really.
First blood needs to be baseline, im really not sure why they are keeping it like it is atm but im not pressing blade dance in ST fights at all atm which feels so dumb. (though my muscle memory from BFA still makes me press that button once in a while )
procs ok, buttons not really, i left monk because of that, duno how it is now tho (worse or better), but some classes you need to look only at weak auras and addons instead of the game between procs or even 15 20 button rotation. Monk enh and feral were among these, after a few hours of gameplay it was really tired and the hand hurt i may be getting old, i think we should keep a few classes like havoc and frost dk, builder spender, and maybe some proc but not make a mess out of them, there is plenty of that.
My hand hurts all the time as DH. You’re literally pressing 123 for 99% of a 5 min fight.

- First Blood baseline
- Mortal Rush (PvP talent) should be put on primary target for Blade Dance
my hurts more when i need to add stuff to shift + X,
while i stay around 1-5, rfcgtvxz, alt q alt e is fine. Experimenting now with ctrl modifier on mouse and 1-5.
But i would really preffer to stay under 15 honestly
Really good suggestion, would be better some % more leech and maybe nether walk for defensive cd… would trade mortal rush 100%
