DH should always be strong in pve especially havoc seeing as we are the only class with 2 specs and no other alternative but to reroll class I think the devs really need to buff us.
Demon hunters took on the fel to defeat demons why not have a spec that takes on the void to take on void beings.

Because you gave up everything for the power to defeat the demon. You won. The havoc of Sargeras and the Burning Legion ended. It is over. Your story, evolution and gameplay is done.
The price of now being an empty husk, the flame of vengeance gone. That is what you so proudly pronounced that you were prepared to give.
This is the endgame for any Demon Hunter. Now it is up to you, was it truly worth the victory? Giving up everything to burn out within the cycle of hatred?
In the end - you can not escape your inner demons. It did say it would win and have the final laugh after all…

This is a very good visualization of what playing a demon hunter looks like from a plot point of view. Without a master and a goal, where each day is just a wandering, because even though we have been drawn into the horde and the alliance, we do not really feel a part of them.

and because he doesn’t have a designer class
when i started playing dh, i thought that due to the absence of the third spec, it would never be at least the worst. as a result, at the beginning of shadowlands, he was exactly the worst, even after all the frost mage in pve. It remains to be hoped that this will not happen or we will still be given a third spec. i also fantasize about the range dd with some kind of polearm.

DH NEEDS a second DPS spec ( ranged ) so that we have something to switch to if Havoc sucks on a tier/boss.

There is a whole nether of immortal demons that only get sent back there once killed. Without Sargaras they have no one holding their leash. nor Is Sargaras or Illidan dead. Plenty more of the candle to burn and a bigger picture.
Were Deathknights meant to quit when Arthus was fell?

Yes, you heard me right! The broad principle is to slice soul fragments from enemies and redistribute them to allies. This is how DHs self-heal today.
Other abilities could include fel shields using extra fragments, singe dispels, and a lot of mitigation (darkness), stuns (nova), sigils and the ability to interrupt as well.
This would make them a melee healer (might be tough for PvP) with the ability to rush in and out of danger.
Meta transformation could be a shivarra-style form with many blades for maximized soul-slicing!

Hi hi , There is nothing wrong with having 2 specs , Its more to do with the up time on the ramp and then the 5 secs to do real dam , Then the ramp time again etc … DH needs like other classes no ramp time and just the right dam .
