I’ve done the Demon Hunter starting zone multiple times during Legion, and died maybe once in all the times I did it. I tried to do it again lately, and I’ve already died four times, even though I haven’t even got off Mardum. Some of the optional elites are practically impossible to solo.
Funnily enough I had the same feeling not so long ago when I made a fresh one. Things just dumpstered me. Had to kite A LOT.
Did this really become an issue ? Can´t really remember my time leveling my demonhunter. I will give it a go the next few days and then give you guys some feedback. If this is really a thing it should be sorted out. Non-optional starter quests that are too hard are just frustrating and provide a sense of slow-progression.
I had the same problem. That, though, gave me Illidan’s words about how powerful I actually am, so no regrets.
(When I first died in Mardum, Illidan acted surprised about my soul returning to the Twisting Nether and then re-birthing. Interesting experience.)
Yup I noticed this a while ago. Basically it started with the start of BFA. Everything is overturned in the starting zone.
I can agree to this.
Created my first DH during Legion and it was basically a faceroll to complete the starting zone. Leveling my second and third some weeks ago and it was a real struggle.
It doesn’t help that you only unlock all your talents when reaching 110. Up until that moment, the playstyle doesn’t really feel smooth at all.
Yep it was pretty rough getting out of there in BfA lol.
