I’m feeling it’s time for a tank reroll and wondered if I was a vengeance DH, my friend mains Havoc, if we were to sign up together for stuff, or the combination in general, is it bad? I heard it’s common to have 2 Havocs but I was wondering if having tank and DPS DH is considered bad.
I main Vengeance DH and I occasionally play m+ keys between 12-16 with my sister which plays havoc. Both specs works well together and brings valuable tools for m+. In some cases you can do “special” skips due to 2x imprisons which isn’t possible with any other hard cc other than sap from rogues. Bare in mind tho that the specs brings more to a group individually, that is because demon hunters has a unique tool that brings 5% magic damage amplification when dealing damage, which does not stack unfortunately. There for you “actually” only need one and would probably fare better with a rogue instead. But none the less, the specs works perfectly fine either way, and by the way we always 1-2 chest our keys. I hope this gave some closure.

The problem is that the current state of Veng DH makes it the worst option for any content, it has poor dmg, poor mitigation and poor healing, the only good thing is sigils utility and kiting, but honestly the only viable spec atm for high content as DH is havoc, sad but true

Vengeance is considered pretty bad right now compared to the other options but you can still use it if you really want. Will likely receive buffs in 8.2 but until then you’re stuck playing the underdog.
If you wanna tank I would 100% recommend DH. By far the funniest tank to play IMO. Might be dogsh*t atm but still viable and will prolly recieve buffs soon.
