Wait what? Did they think they’re like fel rogues or something? Small blade too short to cut demons effectively.
Yeah but it’s not like Legion gave us any choice in what weapons to use.
I mean dh had the best of both worlds that’s why, just like monks on release they were the ultimate leather class
Well yeah, but I doubt they thought Legion would be the last expansions. Probably changed their mind at some point before BFA.
And just like monks, they have chi torpedo (fel rush) and leg sweep (chaos nova). Sweet.
I don’t remember exactly when they took daggers away, but I think it was with the pre-BfA patch. When weapon choice actually became possible again. “Oops, seems we might upset the rogues if we let this slide, better get on it ASAP. Chop chop!”
Well monks weren’t a thing until MoP while demon hunters existed since WC3.
So if I had to choose which one of those 2 to remove from the game I’d say DH stays, monk gets removed.
Pretty sure warlocks existed in WC3 as well and that didn’t stop DH from stealing Metamorphosis.
This stupid class is just an amalgamation of spells stolen from other specs + a generic, boring 2 button rotation.
Last I checked in WC3 Metamorphosis was a DH ability so guess who stole from who.
The Vandel character from the Illidan novel uses daggers even after the demon rituals. Though when you encounter him on Mardum he’s holding a glaive.
Well Allari uses a 2H scythe. And Anduin is a plate wearing priest using a 2H sword.
You probably shouldn’t pay attention to lore characters if it’s just that one guy.
Wouldn’t that make him a paladin?
Maybe a wannabe one. It’s not like he ever got Paladin training he was taught to be a priest by Velen.
We can learn the daggers tmogs so it would make sense that we did know how to use them at some point.
Nah I’m just saying it’s not that weird for DHs to be able to use daggers.
Warglaives are not mandatory.
Right there are other blades on sticks like swords and axes. And even fist weapons even if they don’t have blades half the time.
The blade/stick ratio is very important though. Just ask Thrall.
Eh he was using a hammer for the longest time I don’t trust his credibility.
He was so bad with it that the hammer left him.
