Demon hunters to all races!

it makes less sense for only 2 races, Night elf and blood elf that can be demon hunters

give demon hunters to all races

Lmao. That is… it is.

I now know how to feel about this.

I know people keep saying every race should be every class, but it’s just ceaselessly absurd. I mean seriously, as if Tauren Rogue wasn’t bad enough, now I’m being asked about… that?!

Look, fundamentally the aesthetic choices you make affects the players around you and there’s just simply got to be a limit to the insanity. Seriously.

And while there is temptation to give certain races some things that others have, it’s still gotta go somewhere within the lore. And since some races (i.e. Pandaren) weren’t even discovered at the time of creation for Demon Hunters, it does make little sense. As the tale of Demon Hunters begins with Illidan and the Kaldorei and Sin’dorei that ended up following his path.

That, and Demon Hunters were created with the purpose of destroying the Legion, and they have succeeded. The lore goes that Demon Hunters became what they are at great sacrifice and would not tell others to do what they have done unless the need was great.

With that in mind - unless Blizzard can make a case for why more would like to become Demon Hunters in lore there’s no reason to add it to any other races, and Pandaren is especially crazy because the whole culture is centered around not letting your emotions get the better of you - so any Pandaren seeking to become a class fuelled by intense negative emotions such as hatred and despair would simply have been killed outright by Y’shaarj - and although Y’shaarj is dead, that culture lives.

consider this, while Trolls became the first demon hunters before elves or humans did

Orcs drank fel blood, doesn´t mean why no demon hunters for them

Alright, let’s break things down a little.

Orcs drinking the Fel Blood is an entirely different thing than the creation of Demon Hunters.

Even the Demon Hunters following in Illidan’s footsteps did not become Demon Hunters through the same process as he did.

And lastly, what you are referring to with Trolls is what is called a Demoniac, which is not the same as a DH as Demoniacs are specifically warlocks who share their bodies with a demon. Which is also something that came mostly from non-canon roleplay.

Not to mention, as Ishayo said, the Legion was destroyed and the Demon Hunters fulfilled their purpose, so there would be no need for the creation of more.

And I’m absolutely with you on that. Especially for a Pandaren, looking at all we’ve learned about their culture it is not something that would be taken well by their fellow fluffs in any way.

All of what Helena says above.

It makes very little sense to be giving all the races Illidari now. The Lore doesn’t support it.

the lore actually doesn´t matter wtf, you will see Undead paladin and druids too, nothing ruins anyway

It matters to a lot of us, actually. Just because it doesn’t to you, doesn’t mean others don’t appreciate it…

That is why Shadowlands was partly so hated, amongst other things, they literally undid years of lore, with little reason or rhyme. We aren’t all playing this game, because we only focus on one dimension of it, we like the story behind it.

As for the Undead Paladins you mentioned and Druids, okay I will wait for them to come along and then I will reply. Okay?

but i never asked for this, only read many forums about them, and they think it has less sense

I mean… I was replying to your literal words. Not to what you wanted.

Lore does indeed matter to so very many people. The reason for people to play a game with a lot of lore behind it is usually to enjoy the lore itself and how it’s being conveyed.

So if the lore doesn’t matter to you personally, what is it that you enjoy?

it´s all about the gameplay

Where would the gameplay be without the story though? Isn’t that what makes the gameplay fun, the lore behind it. Would Arthas have been anywhere near as enjoyable to kill, if he had no story? No background, to give us a reason to want to kill him?
