The gatekeeping in this game is insane

No

How is this gatekeeping?

Do you also feel it’s gatekeeping if God of War doesn’t allow you to play as Freya? (That would actually be cool though - but not allowing it is not keeping anyone from playing God of War is my point)

Literally, you never kept us having fun with these games, while Void elf demon hunter could be added once they became an allied race, while the lore is - Blood elf demon hunter joined the void society to be exiled as Ren’dorei, but they screw the lore, you will ever see other races that will become demon hunters, not never!

And Humans, Blood elves are humans with point ears, doesn’t mean why other human races can’t be demon hunters while regular humans have been in Black temple instance

How can you not like anyone who asks other races to be demon hunters while lore actually doesn’t matter, if they ask Tauren demon hunter and for other races, then let them be!!

The shirtless gnome baby with dh wings and horns I can see :face_with_peeking_eye:

YOU ARE NOT PREPARED!

For most players it doesn’t really matter, but even if it does, everything can be solved with a good story. After all, it has already been explained countless times that some races, orcs and draenei for example, actually make more sense to be dhs than elves. But ok, blizz wanted it to be that way back then for many reasons, one of the main ones being to save money and time on demon forms, animations, etc. But now after so many years it really is high time to change that.

Restrictions of this type have been outdated for a long time, even blizz finally became aware of that and that’s why they slowly started to remove those restrictions. Therefore, there is no doubt that sooner or later the dh will also have its turn. I just hope they speed up that process a bit, not just for the dh, but for everyone, although I think the dh should be the prority since it has by far the narrowest choice.

Cus people desire attention and they can’t get that attention enough, so they just repeat what people of minorities have suggested in the past. To seem relevant.

Sorry but when i read that my mind went to a Gnome Demonhunter.(I am hearing laughters in my head)…
I don’t know if the lore allows it to be honest.Perhaps Void Elves could be added .

No it makes alot of sense.

Night elves and blood elves were rhe only races used to become Demon hunters, and tbh theres no evidence that many of the races could hold a demonic soul.

We have erader and fel tauren which proves draenei and tauren could wield it. But being guided under baine and vellen itd be extremely unlikely theyd turn, to stack eraders wanted us dead so woild make no sense to join us now.

Nightborne and void elf demon hunters, please.

I recently was replaying WC3, and I still did not understand where did the Nightelven demon hunters came from, in the WC3 at least it somehow shows how many of the spell breaker’s have devoted themselves for Illidan and became demon hunters, but the Nightelves? Still a great mystery for me. Even in the TBC in the Black Temple, there are only Blood elven demon hunters training in the terrace. Where did the Nightelven demonhunters came from?! :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Perhaps, some exiled night elves from Maiev troops have decided to join Illidan…

Rumour has it, someone found out if you slap a night elf hard enough their eyes turn green.

On a serious note.

Im guessing as they had to give both factions access they just decided to do it based on illidan being a night elf

I seriously disagree. Even if we accept that there’s suddenly a cultural reason for them to learn it, some races are simply biologically incapable of what the class entails and I’m tired of people pretending that’s not the case.

You say that race/class restrictions are outdated and so does Blizzard, but in the meantime they’re adding Evoker, which is a perfect example because Evoker literally requires wings and a certain biological heritage and is therefore only available to Drathyr - so not so out of date after all?

Tauren Rogues and Undead Paladins are likewise totally ridiculous. Rogues require you to be light on your feet, so either you’re just light, have pads under your feet like soles or pawpads, and ideally you’re small and hard to spot as well - and Tauren aren’t. They’re massive, heavy, and hoofed.

Same thing with Pandaren Demon Hunters. Elves are notoriously light and feathery which is why these small wings can be of some use, but Pandaren are heavy, and so putting these tiny wings on a Pandaren ends up looking comical as a result.

As for Undead, holy energy physically hurts them. The lore goes that whenever they use the light they can feel the maggots wriggling in their bodies and get wracked with pain, and the only reason they’re allowed to be priest is because Blizzard wanted Undead Shadow Priests and couldn’t think of another way to do it. Adding Paladin is completely crazy and only the existence of Calia Menethil and how that race is developing lore-wise can change my mind - but these undead would have to look different from the others.
