Demon rp ad

Hi everyone, I am just curious, are there any RPers who play as a demon as their main character? I am talking about not OP demon characters, yes I know demons are a bit of OP, but if played right - it is acceptable, anyways 99% of RPers are “immortal” and can’t be killed.
I am talking about those demons who are fun to play with, like succubs/ sayaad, imps etc.

While succubs can be played as real characters, imps and other demons that can be summoned by warlocks characters - they can be played through npc speaches while being a companion of the main character, who is a victim under their pocession. So you got the idea.

To be short, how many demon rpers are here? Say hi.)

I can imagine.

As long as you do not follow one particular forsaken warlock in Silvermoon (or any city, really) - you can do whatever you want.

Whatever floats your boat, just use your head.

Is that one still around? Haven’t seen them in ages myself.

Other char afaik, but have seen him resurface from time to time

Aren’t both of those the same thing?

I repeatedly see Eredar in Stormwind (with a large OOC tag on them) and in Duskwood when I visit. I never bothered interacting with them though.

There’s definitely demon RPers around, but most leave a very bad impression on a lot of people due to how they are played (as I think you might be able to tell by some of the responses!). Never really interacted with any, myself.

There were a few around in the past, even a few people who used to roleplay dreadlords but… Since the Legion got defeated, that roleplay slowly died.

There was a demon hunter in Duskwood, I forgot his name but he had a really short one, who was playing an imp. Was pretty funny.

Most people just use the warlock pets in roleplay but don’t really roleplay demons themself because it’s a pretty antagonizing role and rarely anyone is up to roleplay that on an active character. Except for maybe one person taking the NPC role in an event or something.

Also I just wanna mention Hellvens is (as far as I saw, according to post history too) probably just looking for interesting concepts and/or groups to roleplay with and has (I hope atleast) no weird thoughts about this whole demon thing.

Did you ever find a few people to roleplay with Hellvens? Maybe one of the many guilds posted in the forums can help you out on this?

I had an Eredar warlock waiting in the wings, primarily as a one-day-perhaps antagonist for people to fight. Of course I made a rookie mistake where such RP is concerned: I went for a stroll in Stormwind. 30 minutes later and my demon had its soul sent into the Twisting Nether, courtesy of two Demon Hunters… who no doubt had their presence in a major city validated by the ordeal.

That was a year ago and I’ve kept the character OOC since then. Canonically so that she can be reborn in due time, but mainly it just soured the idea to me. I won’t deny the mistake was mine for even stepping foot in SW (though cloaked in illusions to the 9), but I’m not joking about that half hour experience either.

Yes, you are right, my first succub was killed in one day, second lives long enough cause she is always hidiing and shows up only if there is no illidari nearby.
The demon rp is very fun but yes, if you play as a demon get ready to be killed.
And I think it is good! Cause it matters more.

IIRC Sayaad is the name of the species and Succubus is the specific name for the female demon (the male counterpart having never been seen in warcraft or the warcraft universe beyond a brief mention in The Last Guardian)

lord grant me the serenity for this to be my only contribution to this thread or i’ll hurt someones feelings

So basically, in warcraft both of these are the same thing since the female demon is the only one we have?

both are correct when referring to one but they don’t mean the same thing. but i guess i’m splitting hairs here, so, basically yeah

didnt the female sayaad also kill every single male as a show of loyalty to the Legion, making the distinction a bit redundant

I kind of dislike the idea in a public setting.

I’m all for play what you want, but entertaining the idea of a demon chatting in silvermoon/stormwind/org is just silly to me. It’s also asking a lot out of everyone around the “Demon” character, again play what you want but if we don’t try to stick to some confines of the lore than what’s the point.

I mean is playing a race of titanic created soldiers, meant to serve as their bulwark against a dark and consuming enemy, robbed of their heritage by that same enemy, only to rise above and beyond what their creators could have dreamed of and champion the very defense of the cosmos isn’t interesting enough for ppl than I dunno what…

Blizzard has hinted several times that male sayaads could have been kept on their homeworld in oppression by matriarchal regime.

My char IC has a Shivan Partner, but she never show up her face outside of the lamb(downstairs not the main INN) if they are in SW.

As for me, I dislike the idea of any isolative rp, so public setting is the best for me.
I did play as a sayyad, and I tell you that it is by far the most fun experience I have ever got while rping.
People are interested to play along if you play it right.
Dream rp, invading peoples dreams and draining life from them. charms etc.
It sounds fun.
Illidaries are also interested to play with you.

You just need to follow the lore, stay low, don’t act op and be ready that your succuby character is going to die one day or another.
Sayaad is not a powerful demon to be treated like a raid boss, so there is no need for that lore drama speach.
For those who want to play as an evil character - sayaad is a great choice.

It is what it is.

And it is totally worth it to my taste.

There is not that many RPers who do demons justice.
One thing when you RP as demon when it is your char, and the other when you RP demon when you play as a warlock. It requires a bit extra to be interesting, because warlock and demon should have differences and some common ground.

You are 100% right mate,
in the end of tha day it all depends on the level of fun you creating.
I respect those who act realistcally and who doesn’t abuse the profile info and meta gaming.

NPC speeches are fun but there are so few rpers who can do it properly.
On top of that there even less rpers who can react properly.

Nevertheless, every type of rp has its own ups and downs.

I like characters with twists, interesting and I will underline not very long descriptions, that are well thought out.
When a character has a goal to achieve and when that character is capable of envolving more other characters into the story. When played right - it can be fun. Obviously 90% of the rpers behave not that much rp respectfully. Besides, 99% of rpers are immortal, so yeah…it is difficult, but yet possible to play fun.
When you have firends or somebody to rp with. With proper level of intrigue and drama - it is always so much fun to rp.
