Tyrant is bit bad source of dmg most of the games it is just facts

It takes few hits to kill or kick or cc or just run around pillar for 15sec and then the times that you could get value out of it and the Tyrant AI doesnt understand to attack what ur felguard is attacking and what you are casting on then that truely is tilting

With this new “Gameplay Sabotage” report options you could literally report it for “AFK/Non-Participation” and “blocking team progress” and by grace of gåd it would get account suspended for enough reports but I guess then we would have to switch play big bolts again with succu and necro like Bua already doing if we cannot get the tyrant out after blizz automated bans putting it on holiday

Ermm… No. :slightly_smiling_face:

Yes. This is the only way to stop it trying to get into melee after a target has LOS’d. Swapping targets resets that behaviour.

yeah that doesn’t work im literally spamming petattack macro every second while casting spells too since my pet still can hit & use energy but thing is if enemy lines me while im summoning tyrant it will bug out and either 1) it will afk next to me or 2) it will chase enemy around without casting till it touches/reaches enemy to melee range then starts casting and its already too late the tyrant AI has lower IQ than 1month old baby

Yes, definitely. I don’t think we will ever get a pet AI that doesn’t suck. The only way to fix it from Blizz’s end is to make his attack instant cast, but with a CD (or make him melee, but that would probably take away some flavour).

I haven’t really had your issue though, I have pets on assist and use a /petattack macro that is bound separately from any other abilities. When Tyrant comes out he works like normal as long as he can see the target. When someone kites around pillar he goes in and tries to get in LoS and does start casting when he does. I think like Atriohm says that he usually doesn’t try to get into melee if you remind him to start casting

ah you have very nice name!

/cast Shadow Bite(Basic Attack)
/cast Lash of Pain(Basic Attack)
/cast Pursuit(Special Ability)
/cast Legion Strike(Basic Attack)
/petattack

/petfollow
/petmoveto
/petstay

im spamming this macros every game every time im casting im spamming this macros so my pet still uses energy and does extra hits also pet follow/stay/moveto when enemy is hitting my pets and they’re pulling them behind i also tried pet stay/follow/petattack in last few days on tyrant especially still does nothing doesnt attack anyone

it only bugs out if im summoning tyrant and enemy ports/leaps behind wall, they fear it then its afk after fear , banish then its afk after banish , turn evil its afk after turn evil etc etc any kind of cc bugs him out also warlocks are abusing this portal when they see its about to be summoned they port away then it runs to them on melee range and starts casting then

target can be standing in middle map in open area if i port back & summon behind wall tyrant wont cast anything on the enemy it will run to them and then start casting so if enemy keeps running away tyrant will just simply chase him after without doing anything its not macros its not passive/assist w/e its the tyrant AI = 1 month old babys IQ and it has to be changed or at least make other specs playable no1 enjoys to be depending on a pet that has 1.5m cd and bugs out every 2nd game this is beyond stupid

I have said many a time that sometimes /petattack just doesn’t work despite all claims by Blizzard to have otherwise made it so.

Problem with Tyrant on the arenas is that if his target will get behind the pillar for the amount of time equal or greater than cast time of Tyrant’s demonfire, then his AI will break and he WILL have to go in melee range to reset his pattern.

The only times when you can reset him is when Tyrant becomes a victim of a direct damage from another enemy player. In this case simple /petfollow → /petattack on new or previous target that is no longer behind LoS will work.

No, you better don’t, make only like 2 macros. I found out that if I play with felguard on petpassive, the demons you summon don’t attack and if you send them to attack manually, they get a brainlag for a second or two. But if I have on petassist, the pets often just refuse to switch targets felguard included. So some switch shenenigans are necessary.
And if I add more commands they don’t do anything properly
On tbc pets work better than on retail. Wtf?

What is even worse i constantly got “Why is your pet on the healer?! We need the ms on the kill target!” and i never even targeted the healer so only god knows why this stupid minion is attacking the healer…

There’s nothing u can do about it bro, blizzard’s pet AI has always been dumber than a fly repeatedly flying into a glass window.

Personally I think there are really huge design flaws for warlocks that only become apparent in these scenarios. It’s like instead of blizzard re-designing the class to fit the era that wow is in ,they’d rather keep this 2004 class design and just up the numbers a class can do if they are underperforming and hope for the best.

im confuzzled

ahh those are all separated macros unless thats not what you meant? u thought i had all in one macro?

Yes
on tbc you can just put petpassive and apart of sometimes wonky pathing there are no issues at all. In shadowlands its for some reason worse so you need to make various /petassist macros. I think becuase of how they programmed petassist. Maybe its good for mythic+ but its horrible for pvp

Before petassist mode, petagressive AI worked like any other NPC in the game with agro list - your demon spotted an enemy → your demon goes to wreck that enemy, no fraks given.
But with petassist mode, your pet agro list wipes every now and then, when you deal X-amount of damage to an enemy in Y-amount of time.

Tyrant and even felguard succubus were stupid in bfa sometimes not even doing anything or getting stuck in middle of the map for no reason.

Since sl they changed the ai a bit but for a pet spec it’s awkward to get this kind of bug.
