Hi. I have a question. I am 440ish lock (I use lower iLVLs for mastery/crit stack) and have a nice gear azerite powers (impulsion / overhelming etc.).
So the thing is I can never do good damage as I do with affliction or destro in mythic pluses, however, many top players and people suggest demonology is the best in mythic due to its AoE damages.
I try to do the rotation well by implosion buff all the time up, using tyrant all the time and using hand of guldan with at least 3 imps but I am never satisfied with my damage. What could I be doing wrong ? I doubt that I do something terrible wrong but I do think that havoc with chaosbolt deals way better damage than constant AoE I try to put it as demonology. I use essences as vision of perfection as major/memory/focusingiris as minors.
The main thing is to make sure you do proper implosion rotations. The rotation is as follows: Build up to 5 shards, HoG, Build to 3 shards, HoG, HoG (if you procc a Soulshard) or wait half a second, implosion.
Make sure to use your instant dreadstalker proccs before or after the implosion rotation. NOT during it!
If you get 2 molten core proccs, the rotation becomes: 5 shards > HoG > Demon Bolt > HoG > Demon Bolt > HoG > HoG > Implosion.
Don’t use molten core proccs for building shards unless you have 3 or more.
You can use Iris major for more burst, though VoP is perfectly fine.
To make all this work, make sure to have the talent Soul Conduit. For azerite you want EP x2-3, Baleful, and Demonic Meteor, though the last one is optional.
Go bombers + beam essence as main and vop+lucid dream as minor.
Take soul conduit paired with lucid dream you will spam often multiple HoG and use implosion every 2HoG atleast not less.
