So WOW is now bass Destiny 2 . All new cool cosmetics will be behind a paywall . Bosting , selling cosmetics , w quests only reson to go in the world besides yearly events, everything is instanced . Waow , nice . I guess Butters was right when he went to play Hello Kiity Island Adventure.
Among all cosmetics , 2 from the shops, rest can be found ingame you know?
While WoW doesnât do anything to keep old content relevant or interesting, it at least doesnât delete it in most cases. Destiny 2 deletes the content you bought. Also, it sells the dungeons separately or something equally stupid.
PS: The $15 a month was alright at 2004. WoW hasnât kept up with inflation, but its production cost has gone up - not just due to inflation, but for example⌠getting 4 fully rendered cinematics in BFA. Shadowlands has already had 2.
Just to keep up with inflation, the cost of the sub should be $22 now, or even closer to $25 with the recent American inflation problems.
If someoneâs mind operate like this my suggestion is to go seek medical attention because itâs seriously screwed up.
I agree! However, Iâm also kinda happy there is such drama around store stuff, because it might help stray them away from them. Iâd rather not get store stuff I have to pay extra for, unless itâs a charity event. I want it in game earnable outside of grinding gold for tokens for battle net balance
I hope to teach kids to do what they enjoy, not to waste time shaming other peopleâs hobbies or to go tell people that you âfeel sorry for themâ. Regardless if they consider that thing trash.
If someone feel sorry for people that play WoW, thatâs their problem. I did not ask for your pity, if i did not find the game fun, i wouldnât play it.
Thanks for proving my first statement was true, and that you donât deserve any further attention.
WOWs Destiny is 2 an end
2? I can only remember the cinematic where they showed the covenants and the jailer. Are you counting the cinematic? Pls let me now if Iâve missed one.
There are many good sets in the game, aswell as many garbage. Thats the game.
What are you talking about?
Destiny 2 is partially F2P, Trials was moved behind a lock for F2P players (they need now latest DLC to play Trials), Eververse is the main income besides of DLCs. Destiny 2 narrative is much better than WoWs and actually is (compared to WoW) not a total mess between the last recent 2 DLCs. Also, Destiny 2 actually delivers content every season, compared to WoW.
I see no reason why I would pick WoW over Destiny 2 at any moment.
I play WoW only rn because I am waiting for Witch Queen and the 30th Year Anniversary.
The content is not âdeletedâ. It was moved to a âcontent vaultâ, which is basically like a card-deck from where Bungie can pull old content to fill the development time for new content as same as preventing content droughts⌠Unlike WoW.
Also, the Dungeons in Destiny 2 are not something to compare with WoW Dungeons. The Destiny 2 equivalent of a WoW Dungeon is a âStrikeâ. A dungeon in D2 is a mini-raid. To make a comparison:
Destiny 2 Strike = WoW Dungeon
Destiny 2 Dungeon = WoW Mega-Dungeon (for exmaple, Tazavesh in SL)
Destiny 2 Raid = WoW Raid
That is still a major difference. And a big difference is still, that Bungie made Destiny F2P to a certain degree, while WoW stays âplay til level 20, then payâ. Aside from that, the only separate dungeon sold is from the 30th Anniversary. and on top of that, we donât have to wait 2 years for an entire expansion that continues the main story over 2-4 seasons, we Destiny 2 players wait 1 year for a DLC + 4 seasons. DLC + first DLC season almost always comes in a bundle and is running at the same time. The DLC story is not time gated, Season pass story is. Our D2 seasons go exactly 3 months, unless they get extended for 3 more months to push a release date back. WoWs Seasons go how long exactly? Between 6-8 months most the time? Thatâs at least how long it took from 9.0 to 9⌠And 9.1 didnât even had more content than Destiny 2 base DLC âBeyond Lightâ had.
Oh no, just one dungeon, so greedy from bungie /s
I choose wow!.
You have to buy the dungeons seperately in D2.
D2 only lets you play current season and prunes the old content.
D2 team are prone to store content. In the first season/expansion of D2 (Mercury?) I forget exactly. Most of the content for said expansion/season was hid behind the eververse paywall.
I got the game gifted to me, so it was no loss to me to bail on it. I never played D1.
People have been making drama since the pet store was introduced back in Wrath and the first mount was sold, the Celestial steed. It was actually a nice perk at the time because mounts werenât account wide and that one was.
I donât think itâs going to have any impact. The number of people who do buy vs the people who complain just donât match.
I personally do like that they give people rewards for subbing using the six monthly sub. Itâs a nice little freebie for me. If I lost interest in the game and dropped my sub to the monthly model or quit then I wouldnât begrudge these still being offered. However people feel differently ofc. I havenât always liked the freebies either. I thought the other transmog set we got was hideous.
Some tier sets in game have looked great. Iâm not blown away by the looks that Blizz revealed for the new raid. Some of the recolours that have been datamined do look better than the images they chose to release but still, when you compare it to the current store outfit it feels that level of effort should have gone into the tier.
I do think itâs good that people can grind gold in game and treat the blizz store like another vendor. It does sometimes feel like only WoW is persecuted for having a very limited store. Other games have far bigger shops, thought nothing compares to the F2P games where the store is their main income and itâs very in your face.
So they delete the content you bought only to re-release it as a free FOMO content while they make the next dungeon to sell you separately. Nah. Sorry. Activision wasnât Bungieâs problem. I did play Destiny 2 for a while when it went f2p but⌠to be fair it just didnât grab me. Even without Activision, the game was simply boring.
what are you talking about blizz has been deleting major storylines and features for expansions for a while so people can feel like a special snow flake for having the items
Well, to be fair, he did say âin most casesâ. Even though Blizz has removed certain storylines over the years, the majority of the content is still accessible, if Iâm not mistaken.
However, I wish they would stop removing any more quests etc. from the game. I donât really care about the rewards or titles, but Iâd like to be able to do all those old storylines I missed when they were current content.
Removing some content in an online game is fine. Removing all the content is the problem. Deleting The Mage Tower is one thing. Deleting Legion is another.
And I think the reason they had to delete The Mage Tower is how finely tuned it was to Legion characters and it wouldâve become incompleteable by BFA characters.
If you say âthey shouldâve continued the mage tower in BFAâ you would not get an argument from me. They should have.
Oh hell no.
Not at all.
Also; you canât say that because whatâs âcoolâ to person A, might be completely crap to person B. And vice versa.
Also; WoW is not some crappy shooter. So thereâs that.
