Destro lock buff suggestions - I know BLIZZ reads these forums

Or give us some kind of passive buff/spell while it’s on cool down.

Maybe something like the druids star fall with a passive AOE which drops infernal fire from the sky, damaging targets who are affected by our dots or something along those lines.

Video for you all of my Chaos bolts, WM on, with & without DS/Trinket

Forgive the clicks, usually my mic doesn’t pick the keyboard up.
Doing testing with WM off, i’d agree that Chaos bolt does need a buff for PVE only as it could hit harder than it should, but this would really need to be balanced and a PVE only buff, Chaos bolt doesn’t need a buff for PVP as it already hits insane numbers as my video shows, but for PVE hitting between 6-9k without DS/trinkets is low compared to other classes.

I don’t know if that’s supposed to be a good thing because it’s not.

A 3 second cast hitting for 13k with 1- DS 2- trinket 3- WM on 40% CB 4- Legendary: Madness (another 25% and no one would craft this coz it’s trash), and to top it all off, on a target dummy so factor in 20% vers, and at ilvl of 211… is absolute garbage.

I was hitting for more than that at level 50 with half the ilvl in BFA which is sad.

I’m not attacking you here, i just think Blizz/Activision messed up destro with these changes that made destro unplayable in high end content while i’m still getting 2 shotted at 37K HP by paladins, monks, rogues, mages, and druids.

Completely agree with you that our survivability is complete garbage, 1 spell on a 3 min cd that really doesn’t do much except for the immunity to interrupts is bad, I really wish demon skin and demon armor were both base line so that we could take dark pact for the increased survivability.

To add to that, I think the old Grimoire of Sacrifice from MoP should return for destruction + the shadow damage we receive from it now.

Especially now that everyone is insanely mobile except for warlocks unless we take night fae we need to go back to being the immobile tank caster, as our trade off.

You think this 10k 1 hour cast bolts hit hard in pvp? go watch mages insta cast pyros for 20-30k in arenas

I saw a fire mage take an elite with 95k hp in less than 5 seconds I KID YOU NOT! i was shocked!

Meanwhile me as destro: Immolate, summon infernal, conflag, chaos bolt, chaos bolt, demon fire, conflag, chaos bolt, immolate, conflag, chaos bolt, chaos bolt, blah blah blah blah…then dead 25 seconds later.

well yeah, because a caster like fire mage which has long cast times for their spells has this unique ability of not casting most of its spells
like I said, it seems for destro the problem is the way it does its dmg: hard casting

I’m just wondering why as warlocks we’re meant to be the “tanky” caster yet mages have the legendary barrier that makes them waaay more tanky than anything warlock can get/use. why is this? could we at least be tanky if we have to hard cast everything. as even affi is getting melted in arenas, the other 2 specs are barely viable.

They need to massively increase the shard generation on incinerate so we can actually get some Chaosbolts flying and drop the cast time on both incinerate and chaosbolt by about 0.4 sec on both. i feel like this would be a good start then we can actually do damage, if we couldnt cast CB we could just use the fire abilities to generate shards and use rain of fire to keep some damage up on melee. its not a perfect solution but its better than eating every kick going.

They should buff survivability or dmg. It was stated a lot of times, revert the warlock back to MoP. Best design ever of the class. I really want it back(Meta).

Player vs. Player

  • Players now deal 20% less damage to Death Knight, Hunter, and Warlock pets.

Seems like an out of season april’s fool joke but its a start

At least something is done. It is more than i hoped for.

Warlock

  • Destruction

    • All damage abilities increased by 5%.

oh, they noticed we need some dmg

Check out Kalamazi’s sims, looks to be that it’s quite substantial for the cleave aspect.

Destro is still behind afflic, but at least this gives room for some variety. Would like to see what the same sims look like with all different covenants, rather than Night Fae.

The answer is easy, just revert the class to the version from MoP!
