The Destruction Warlock specialization needs reworking and upgrading. You could lower its AoE and cleave potential, but single-target damage needs to be boosted by at least 20-30% specifically by buffing the core spell, Chaos Bolt.
Right now, the spec is a laughingstock; it poses no threat in PvP and is unwanted in PvE.
A special shout-out to the Warlock designer: you have no idea what you're doing. You should actually try playing the class—then you’d understand its strengths and weaknesses. But, of course, that will never happen, because Bobby Kotick cares about money, not game balance.
in PvP, unless they change the gameplay—or at least reintroduce abilities from older expansions (Decimation, Dimensional Rift, Ritual of Ruin)—the spec will remain dead, even if it gets massive damage buffs. That’s because they’d likely buff Chaos Bolt, and people would start complaining within seconds, inevitably leading to the nerf hammer coming down on the entire spec
It’s absolutely insane that a spec lacking roots and effective instant-cast spells has to stand still to cast, while others—with mobility, instant damage, and highly effective escapes (did someone say Mage?)—can deal damage while running. It really ought to be the other way around
The thing that is laughable is that they have spells to make it interesting. Many people have made suggestions about how to use them but it’s like they actively work against the player.
they wont fix it. Trust me they wont. They never played destro warlock in arena, they have no clue.
just reset the tree from dragonflight or to war within , the “ rework” wasnt in destros favor
