Destro Warlock, PvP Arena, Solo Shuffle - Need Help!

Hey, I NEED HELP!

While Warlock, especially Destro Warlock is one of my favorite spec, simply because its the last caster in the game, i mean i love the casting playstyle, but actually WOW kinda killed that “genre” only Destro left as the last man standing true caster, which is really sad. Every other ranged “spell caster” just shoot stuff instantly without having to actually cast, have a ton of mobility and slow\root remover and stuff.

My problem is in solo shuffle, i cant even move as warlock, its one of the least mobile class in the whole game. But thats not all, i cant even cast cuz of the dozen micro cc, knocks, and interrupts. I use demonic circle on cd and have the pvp talent for it, also using demonic gateway, but thats all my movement and clearly no problem to any melee spec to catch me in seconds. My slow curse is not enough for slowing them down, and my fear must be cast, the only chance to land it is with precog when 2 melee sitting on you and you cant move a meter away.

Actually in most of my matches, i just stand there rooted, slowed, stunned, interrupted and cant cast a thing and cant move a meter away, all i can do is teleport time to time, but after i teleport i cant even kite away from my demonic circle to teleport again after 20ish seconds, simply because i cant even move away from the spot i put it down

Im not a top pvper for sure, but last season i reached 1900+ with different class and 1800+ on multiple other classes. While on destro warlock it seems like im an 1400ish player xDDD

What should i do? I need some help, i already watched videos and stuff, i use all the kiting tools i have at my hands(demonic circle, demonic gateway, shadow rift, slow curse, precog), but simply nothing rly works im a sitting duck that can hardy land a cc or dmg cuz of the melee micro ccs and interrupts. i have no idea what could i do while my mobility is kinda non existent and to deal dmg or land a cc i need to cast.

Im pretty sure this is not the intended gameplay and im doing something wrong, so please help me.

Its so sad caster playstyle is not a thing anymore in wow :frowning: very very sad, i used to play wow because i loved casting and kiting melees with smart play. Well anyway thats a different topic.

I pvp with shadow, hunter, frost mage, ele and destro. I love the caster play style too and especially the idea of big reward for big cast time idea of a chaos bolt.
I also can’t make destro work in arenas and I just think it’s because of the meta and the fact they will train you. In BG it feels really strong and I think mechanics like rift, gateway, teleport also shine in BG. If u have a good healer in arena u can unending resolve/sacrifice and just juke and burst…but my experience as by no means a great player just an average one is destro is too hard in arena but great fun in BG.

Destro is more of a BG meme spec, you could possibly make it work in 3v3 by queing with a rogue or a mage but on your own you´re not casting against half decent players, its that simple. You need others to enable you.
