Was already updating addons manually anyway , this only means I will continue to do so. Overwolf can keep taking private informations from others if players decide it’s fine to them but not mine.

If ya’ll looking for an alternative, Minion is pretty good. But yeah, it would be pretty cool if Blizz just made their own. I have no problem keeping all my eggs in the one basket.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t Minion Wowinsider’s own manager and hence you’ll only be able to install their own maintained addons and none from other sources?
I honestly have no idea, but I can confirm that not every addon is available within Minion. The ones I do use are, so I’m not too worried.

I used to use WowMatrix … but since I don’t use many Add-ons, I now go manual.

Already have a manual addon manager, Overwolf sounds very sus.

That is the issue. Overwolf is accusing good alternatives like WoWUp of scraping and thus will now work to prevent it.

Yea the idea is good to bad they wanna use this as they see fit , remember that addons can be legal or illegal to them depends on what they do , if they would make an addon manager they will have to check every addon that’s out there to be eligible according to their standards and players will keep adding addons or request more = A lot of work for them for no money .

The ads are intrusive, not able to click away so I’m guessing they’re different for everyone if your experience with that mess has been rosy.

Ads are still running therefore are consuming CPU ressources and internet speed (When I was on 2mbps internet, I noticed a lot of lag spikes when I was using overwolf)
Also, I don’t like monopoly and overwolf is basically killing other add-ons managers so that’s a monopoly.

You’re not supposed to sell addons so isn’t this being paid for making an addon and publishing it on Overwolf?
