As above. Other classes are destroying packs before we get chance to get shards and start doing dps with rain of fire. No mention chain pulls in pugs where tank is just moving forward and taking mobs out of range of rof. This problem should be adressed for example modyfing spell that 1 or 2 rof casts if u didnt use it for x seconds are free of shards requirement.
Or just brake the kneecaps of your Tank with a lead pipe
Warlocks in general are suffering greatly this expansion.
AoE should be baseline for both destro and affli, not talents.
If we had AoE as baseline, we’d be able to direct those talent points in a more useful tree branch as well and likely make AoE feel more impactful as well.
Most classes have baseline aoe and they just buff them up with extra talents – having no issues with burning mobs with ease.
Destro AoE is terribly clunky. You have to build shards for chaos bolts + you have to build shards for RoF. It’s a really bad design imo and I doubt anyone is having fun with that.
Affli is fantastic with AoE, but once more, it is something that needs building and maintaining and seed takes like 1.5s to cast. Without shards you are doomed once more.
A good solution to this problem would be:
- Cataclysm baseline, or at least not as a choice in the same node with RoF. Its as if shadow priest had to chose between Shadow Crash and Psychic Link.
- RoF costing one shard and doing more damage per shards spent, up to 3 shards. Same as hand of gul’dan.
Imo those two changes would make the ramp on pair with f.e shadow priest.
or just make immolate aoe

A change that i have always wanted is making it easier to see the circle of ROF you place for everyone.
Why is it that mages blizzard has a blueish circle on the ground while us warlocks just has the bolts of fire coming down?
I think they honestly need to give us some sort of burst damage, either making cata baseline but at the cost of shards or hell just give us something like hellfire from classic.
Destro feels awful when you have no shards and i would love more option for cds instead of spender spells.
just delete pyrogenics ( 5% fire dmg ) and give option to play Cata + inferno , and i think to compare rune of power with rain of fire is a bit 2 far , mages still have blizzard + Flamepatch
destro is and always was a slow hard hitting spec what makes it good for bosses and big elites but trash just dies to fast for that spec.

not claiming we are in a good place atm but hey its what it is you deal whit it and move on.

We legit bombarded them woth feedbacks for tslents trees both general end class specific,minimum changes were made,yet our class playstyle is outdated,even the older expansions played better than the current one.
I know i said this on other posts but
Cataclysm should not be a choice node with inferno.
Channel demonfire should be castable while moving and also generate 1 soul shard fragment for each main hit.
Gwd should be in the class tree, and main cd demons should be baseline
Madness should be longer, or better, straight up changed.
Soul fire should be insta cast, and it should have it’s cd reduced by immolate ticks, or have a chance to reset it’s cd when immolate does damage.
I actually didn’t enjoy the new crashing chaos nearly as much as i thought i would, the cost reduction on rain of fire/chaos bolt was actually very significant for gameplay. I would have preferred if they just increased the stack to 8, and the damage by like 20 %, but kept the old crashing chaos.
Although i guess it would be fine to have the current version, if they make the changes i pointed out above.
Anyway, this would help with both the gameplay, and the ramp up damage in aoe.

blizz is just so inconsistent
shadow crash was added because of the dot problem and then the cd was reduced because dots run out before you can apply again and also only up like every 2nd pack
cataclysm and vile taint still have the same issue at 30s cd. I don’t know why it is not reduced to 15-20s cd, besides obviously both talents should be baseline.
rain of fail unfortunately has the same issue as earth quake. Under certain conditions you can spam the crap out of it and it will blow up the dps meters. In 99% of pugs both spells are mostly useless. Packs die too fast or tank is moving. Building up shards is a major pain.
time walking gives the best reflection, you might as well go afk because you never can do any dmg. Packs dead before applying immolate, same of course in +11 keys etc.
Not necessarily baseline, vile taint is in a good position, but cataclysm isn’t.
Cataclysm should replace pyrogenics, no one cares about that talent anyway, and cata will make up for more than 5% of your fire damage in aoe. This way you would go, rain on fire, cata, inferno.
As well as make aoe significantly smoother. I don’t think anyone likes casting dots on everything, it’s just boring.
yea and that is why it is the same thing with vile taint.
I mean even casting seed of poop is not fun at all.
