When i put details addon in my wow_retail_\interface\addons it doesnt show up in game addons menu. Other addon i have works and shows perfectly fine.
Does it need to be put in somewhere else?
That’s where mine is. Did you get it via curseforge or grab it yourself?
Downloaded it from curseforge www. Then manualy moved it to addons folder and extacted it.
there should be a /command you can do. Try /recount And it should show a list of commands… I think one is /Show recount or something. Its been a while since I played. But I ran into this issue too
Make sure that you have extracted it directly inside the addons folder, ie. there are many folders like …\addons\Details_something in the folder, and not one folder called Details that has the other folders inside it.
it works! So i had to extract everything from zip file then open extracted file and move only “details” file to addon directory skipping all 30+ other files. Kinda counterintuitive but it works.

That doesn’t make sense. All 8 folders should exist inside the Addon folder:
- Details
- Details_Compare2
- Details_DataStorage
- Details_EncounterDetails
- Details_RaidCheck
- Details_Streamer
- Details_TinyThread
- Details_Vanguard
And similarly there should be 8 entries on the Addon menu at the character selection screen.
Why don’t you just get curseforge to install it to the correct place from the start?

It’s easier to just use the standalone Curseforge app, it will also keep them all up to date. Providing you check regularly by opening the desktop app.

Because Curseforge is malware. Or at least the Overwolf version is.
Get WowUp or download manually.
