You are correct. This person wants that feature removed so details can’t work unless you’re manually sharing combat data.
Dummys will NOT replicate the mechanics and dynamic within a M+ environment and who is to say I,m playing poorly because even if I am playing poorly then you better sure as hell be playing like a god to feel you have some kind of judgemental power over me. I mean 100% parses not a single missed defensive, or interrupt, all damage prevented is done and even off healing when necessary to assist the healer as well as dispels if your class can, Misdirects, Tricks etc… theres so much utility which is missed by even some high level players.
How many casts does a dummy do ?
How much damage will a dummy do to you *Not the tanking one.
How often does a dummy do a “boss” mechanic whilst your dps, ing.
These are 3 major factors that cannot be replicated on dummys and IF you are in a m+4 and miss some of the interrupts or some one else does, There is way too many variables to say “Practice on a dummy until your good to go”
I have done all 10,s but i do not want to push higher (Although maybe i will go to 12,s with the new crest reward system). Why is it such a bad thing that I want the OPTION to share my data with other players.
I do not understand the NEED to see other peoples performance down to the last detail for any other reason than to point fingers upon people.
Yes but it’s about how you allocate your thoughts during combat. How much of your brain do you use doing DPS Vs thinking about positioning, mechanics, utility etc. The more comfortable / familiar you are with your rotation the less you think about it, and the more active brain power you can put into other things.
You opting out would change nothing. They would be opted in and if DPS is low blame you by default because you’re hiding (or they do the math).
DPS meters are a thing even in FF14. You are only not allowed to belittle others through it.
Also: Toxic people will always be toxic. And if you want to learn then go and do a lower key or go with friends, expecting others to carry your slack due to having to learn the spec could also be regarded “toxic behavior”.
I don’t understand why you’d ever want or need to hide it. Again, frankly your desire not to be willing to have your own performance be visible is a larger red flag than it being poor. If it’s poor there’s options for improvement, there’s the potential it gets better.
If you’re unwilling to even let your performance be visible not only are you a black box to other people, you don’t even know how well you’re doing, and as such must have zero desire to improve or rectify any mistakes because you don’t even know what you’re doing wrong.
It SHOULD be visible to me and the option to share this with others is MY choice is what I,m saying.
You are right about yes self improvement isnt the question it’s more to do with the fact that other people feel the need that they have to point it out in a toxic manner that i take issue with.
I guess that it’s something that is here to stay because people will always use some tool to say “I,m better than you”. So there will always be people to use the tool incorrectly.
Instead of a self improvement tool its more of a tool to “point fingers” at someone instead because ofc they themselves are perfect in their eyes.
I had a healer moan about my interrupts in SV9 but then he goes and dies to a boss mechanic because he takes ball to the face… See my point there. He felt the need to try and point fingers at me yet he went and died to a simple mechanic that is easily dodged.
At the end of the day hiding it makes it look like you’ve got a reason to, and that’s likely to cause more problems than showing it even if you’re not doing well.
I don’t personally see why someone needs to be playing perfectly to point out objective facts. They can have a more respectful tone about it, but your “If you tell me I did something wrong you better have never made a mistake in your life” attitude is wild.
Were it any of the 3 10’s you did on your shaman by any chance? You were practicing Enha in a 10.
Well when you die to a simple mechanic as “Dodge the ball” you have little room to start pointing out everyone else’s flaw’s.
Nah it was a SV9 the healer quit after he took the ball to the face and caused a wipe and nice stalking
But you made me remember that I need to change my main on rio site, its still my priest which i dont do many keys on xD
If they’d done it as a deflection after having died sure, but they didn’t. Kicks were bad then they died to the ball. Regardless I get that that particular healer wasn’t a very nice person.
Indeed which is what prompted this whole argument but I guess some people are just toxic by nature, I do not point out people’s flaw’s unless they start to point mine out as none of us are perfect.
Btw I was the only one who was doing the ranged interrupt when the dwarf jumps away but i missed some interrupts in the earlier trash (which is what he was pointing out)
I,ll be the first to say that sometimes I tab target too much and maybe should try to figure out a bettre system to ensure I can target correct mobs
but used incap totem on cd and thunderstorm (When i remembered too)
So I am fully aware of my flaws and do not need to be told about them and can accept that I need to improve and the only way to improve is to practice.
Point is that if you do higher keys on a spec you have no experience on then yes, you will be flamed in most cases if your DPS is also low a result of lacking experience with the spec or how the spec works in dungeons even if the dungeon gets timed. And I was mainly on about you getting flamed for low DPS rather than failing mechanics.
That people flame others, even if just for deflecting, isnt anything new and even if you could hide your DPS Meter it wouldnt change anything and they would flame you for any other reason that comes to their mind, valid or not. As I said: Toxic people will always be toxic.
It isnt stalking, its called getting the information you left out. You want a proper answer then play with an open hand. Stalking would be if I wasted more than a couple sec digging up your shaman.
Also your Siren Isle ring is a downgrade compared to your crafted ring by 6%.
Nah DPS was on par with the rest of the group.
I did think that the ring would be a downgrade tbh , But see you posted the comment in a reasonable and perfectly acceptable way to talk to someone which I can respect.
So thank you for the info
Just a side question how did you know I had a crafted ring and the Circlet? As I had the crafted ring in my bags Just curious to know how you found that out
And this is already fodder for people if they want to be toxic for the sake of being toxic. You arent supposed to be on par as enha, you’re supposed to rolfstomp them on the meters. So if you don’t do that they will flame you (even if you are 20 ilvl behind or whatever. Because logic I guess or something).
Your rio. Even if you update your enha and it refreshes the gear the ring will be visible in past runs.
Ye your probably right some people just look for an excuse to be toxic. ;D
Oh didnt know that, Thanks
Ring should be an upgrade either next week or the week after when we get access to all gems.
Sweet, thank you !
This is correct, and one of the main reasons that Details had such a problem correctly estimating the performance of Augvokers when first introduced, because to properly quantify it required the more detailed information contained in the ACL (Advanced Combat Log), which is the logfile written to your hard drive and later uploaded to WC logs.
Circumventing this technical limitation is why the issue of overlays for WoW to read out the ACL in close to real time even got started by Warcraftlogs in the first place, before Blizzard nipped it in the bud while adding come ingame CL hooks that allowed more accurate ingame readouts.
Details can share across clients, but doesn´t require it to function… But if you want your BM to appear as “Stupid Hunter” in everyone’s readouts, or your DI-Dwarven Warlock to be “Fel Fatass” (if you see those, you´re possibly playing with me ), then you have to allow for this intercommunication.
No thanks, it raises awareness of spotting AFKers during fights, who just auto attack or straight up ain’t doing anything, to kick them. Can’t stand lazy sods abusing LFR.
