In PvP, the Devastation Evoker subclass appears to be overpowered. It can deal an excessive amount of damage while having numerous defensive abilities that make it nearly untouchable. In solo ranked queues, I’ve seen Evokers easily jump into a group of three opponents, destroy the healer, and survive without any issues. This level of power and survivability seems unbalanced compared to other classes and is negatively affecting the fairness of ranked PvP. Please review the tuning for this subclass.

I also do agree, with their nearly permanent 90%slow (not removed by shapeshifting btw) and unreal mobility there is little melee can do to them.
Should definitely review the tuning and possibility the entire toolkit of this spec.
I agree that our overall damage can be somewhat overwhelming even without Dragonrage “which benefits from our mastery” but the only defensives we posess is two charges of obsidian scales, and nullifying shroud, our strength comes from our mobility which compesates our defensive capabilities along our damage.
I expected to see a general nerf on the spec but instead we get 10% more damage on our disintegrate.
You are right, mobility is key of the defense in this situation, but in combination with disc it is impossible to do something playing melee classes. And that damage is something insane. Me, currently playing UDK, was impressed when I did twice more damage then my friend playing retro pally, but evoker does twice more damage than me. So my pally friend was just WTHell - its not look`s like its balanced well.
Ret is kinda a hybrid class, being a ranged-melee that can also provide supportive kits such as freedom/sacrifice/protection along with healing, with a decent sustain damage if played properly.

Devastation doesn’t suffer from kicks as it can cast again numerous times within seconds and this needs to be changed in future tuning.
The problem is HOVER.
They have two charges of hover that they can reset every 40-50 seconds.
Combined with unburdened flight and the fact that their main attack slows for 90%, makes them literally uncatchable.
It’s next level broken.
That 90% slow is a pvp talent, which means either the unburdened flight or nullifying shroud has to be replaced. In otherwords, obsolete or just unusually rare to use.
The issue is that everything revolves around disintegrate, so you either make a useless spec by nerfing it hard or a 1 button god spec if you keep it strong.
It is definitely a very strong spec as of now, but people don’t respect the damage that deva can deliver, and in general have no clue at all how to play into devastation.
You can take unburdened flight and crippling force and pick and choose the 3th PVP talent.
This means that in 2s vs a melee it will never catch you, in 3s you can nearly kite a melee indefinitely. If they do manage to catch you, you have some very good defensive cooldowns compared to other classes.
It’s vs melee’s just insanely overpowered, not acknowledging this is just being dishonest.

PVP Disintegrate damage is no longer increased by 20% in PvP combat
And for pve:
Disintegrate got buffed by 10%
So if calculated… we lost 10% dmg on disintegrate in pvp. So it was even better before
But our tier bonus also gives 6% dmg on disintegrate ( pvp 3 % ) but yeah. Our dmg is wild for sure. Cant complain…
But i think deep breath hover resets is the main problem…
I didnt even had that hero talent yet since i thouht the other one was better, and some melee’s could have some good uptime on me. Also since i didnt use pvp talent for extra slow, i mostly took purge instead. But since Venruki showed that video this week. After deep breath hover resets 2x!! Thats insane. Gotta try it out…
My evoker went to 2.2mmr with 90% winrate while literally just doing the bare minimum, I had a triple melee lobby and guess who went 6-0. This lobby was funny though the dk/war/ret tried to go after me but all i did is kite them to bagdad and then eventually when they reach me i just deep breath to madagascar and reset my hovers I didnt even mention my 900k dps throughout the entire game but that story for another time.
But hey dont touch my hovers! How else will I be able to play double drake / x and push my duelist finally?
But anyways if they dare to nerf my beloved dragon i just swap speccs to preservation and just do 300k dps less and gain 1m hps, ill be fine.
I don’t mind the spec being strong but it bothers me how consistently Disintegrate ends up being literally 50%+ of their damage breakdown.
I can’t believe we waited 20 years for a new caster class only for Blizzard to give us lizard wizards with two damage buttons.
Funny enough, they are nerfing eternity surge next week, so we need to spam disintegrates now even more!!!
I‘m really questioning the person wo made that decision. If you ever watch 1 single dmg breakdown of devastation in any kind of pvp amd think „yep, eternity surge is the issue here“ idk what to say

Melee gamers when they have to actually think about their mobility usage instead of randomly sending Storm Bolt > Charge on CD and automatically welding themselves to their target.
Once upon a time Warriors would mount towards their target and save Charge for when they needed it.
If DB reset only 1 charge of hover, I’d say it’s fair. 2 is OP.
I remember Mud did a Youtube video at some point saying that Warriors should just run in on their mounts and all the Warrior zug zuggers in the replies were acting like he just found the game’s biggest exploit.
