Devourer Shaman – Talent Tree Concept for Midnight
Hello everyone,
I would like to share my idea for a new Shaman talent concept that could fit the darker atmosphere of World of Warcraft: Midnight.
The idea is a Devourer Shaman, a shaman who draws power from devoured spirits and corrupted elemental energy.
Instead of only controlling the elements, this Shaman absorbs the energy of defeated enemies and transforms it into destructive power.
Core Theme
The Devourer Shaman gains power when enemies die nearby. Their abilities grow stronger by consuming spirit energy.
Example Abilities

Soul Devour
Drains spirit energy from an enemy and grants Devour stacks that increase damage. -
Voidstorm Totem
Summons a dark totem that creates a vortex of lightning and void energy, damaging enemies in the area. -
Spirit Collapse
Summons spirits of fallen enemies that explode after a short delay, dealing heavy AoE damage. -
Devouring Chain Lightning
A corrupted chain lightning that steals life energy from each enemy it hits. -
World Hunger (Ultimate)
Opens a void portal that pulls enemies inward and consumes their spirit energy.
Visual Design
The Devourer Shaman would have:

Dark ritual armor with bones and skulls

Void and spirit energy effects (purple, teal, dark blue)

Totems shaped like skulls or spirit rifts

Glowing eyes and ghostly spirits surrounding the character
