Devourer DH gets an immunity to kick on its main damage button

With a PvP talent called “Inevitable End”, Collapsing Star can no longer be kicked and basically becomes Aimed Shot.

I’m just wondering why they’re giving such a talent to an extremely mobile caster that can actually get away with hardcasting.
This should be an Affliction talent for UA, if anything.

Affliction will get instant UA instead of Instant MR from Shadowbolt casts and from dot ticks as Hellcaller. I bet it’s even better. In Midnight MR is gone and UA will be your spender like in Legion. You will be able to either stack multiple UAs on one target or place UA on everyone. Affli won’t be that strong early but I bet in later seasons with more secondary stats it will be a monster (unless overnerfed). It scales well with Haste/Mastery and even Crit thanks to some Hellcaller talents so no matter what stat your set will be it’s a good stat.

Is devourer going to be melee or ranged?

Think of it as Survival Hunter for dummies.

I wonder why.. probably cos there is always some class that gets away with a lot of bs since i can remember. Just another patch.

Imagine watching how survival trying catch devourer across whole map and you as holy pala trying catch them BOTH.

because reaching collapsing star takes forever

its not like “oh this is on my bar and I can just press it and delete someone and spam do that”

I feel like devourer is going to run into a loooot of issues especially the time it takes to actually reach void meta

like what are u supposed to do… play with a Rogue to stun 3 people for you to maybe get it off? delay game infinitely by running? huh? lol

a lot of people are going to be frustrated by 30 second games on low ratings and write off the spec as unplayable

honestly its just not greatly fleshed out and its kinda gross that DH also lost buttons considering it barely had any to begin with

making a 3-4 button rotation with 10 different interactions, procs, buffs etc already proved to be an unfun design in TWW with Aldratchi reaver, tracking so many things just to do mediocre “burst” damage

I know devourer is made in a similar way to devastation evoker but Evoker baseline has more buttons than DH does…

It’s not like people who play DH WANT to have 4 buttons, don’t understand the people who flame the players, Blizzard just keeps reducing this class in terms of variety more and more every expansion

would not be surprised if The Last Titan makes DH have Fel Rush and 2 dmg buttons and blur, like just sack everything else right lol

Here’s the reason. It hits like wet noodles outside that specific skill, in fact current meta in beta is going melee build and NOT taking collapsing star. Also you can simply run out of the range of the spell or get stunned still, void dh has the same short range as evokers. And unlike other casters, when you are interrupted during the cast you loose ALL your resources. Which is exactly why it is not worth casting in pvp.

how being mega vulnurable to dispel(much more than it is now, right now people only remove stacks of wither/agony, ua dispelling doesnt matter if you can reapply it fast enough, and in midnight literally all your damage will be dispellable) makes affli a beast lol
