Hi, So I have been waiting for a third spec for DH for a long time now and I was excited when Blizzard finally announced it. but the more I watched and learned about it the less excited I am.
There are some iconic DH abilities like Throw glaive, which already has a descent visual, that is not present in devourer rotation, there are no talents for it, no visual update for it. Sigils have been removed from the two DPS specs, I also thought sigils would make it to a ranged DH spec. but no, none of that, adding to that the horrendous Soul immolation spell and here’s my only question about this specific spell “Why”? I mean you could rework it as an immolation on the target that also deals damage to nearby enemies.
Instead, we have this weird void/cosmic magic spec that looks more like a cloth wearing class than an agile leather, I’m not saying the spec is bad, it is just weird and almost strips the Demon Hunter from all what made it unique as a class. I think Thow glaives and Sigils should be reconsidered.
Imagine adding to the rotation “Void glaives” and “Cosmic Sigil” and Soul immolation that vacuums the soul of enemies.
I played DH in all expansion since Legion, and I love its iconic identity, abilities and spells. I hope you will look into this in a future patch and make the ranged demon hunter we truly deserve, personally I expected the new spec to be “Hunter” like, while keeping core DH spells. but anything else that still keeps the iconic abilities and spells is fine with me too. good luck with rest of the development.
