Who exactly requested Vrykul?
Childish voice lines were meh, the questlines were decent for the most part, the only one I really din’t like was the main questline in Ohn’aran plains.
Don’t play horde so idk what you are talking about, Alliance boat was fine.
Marketing and an attempt to raise the game back up. Let’s say DF sold 4m copies (more than SL), those 4m are considered low for WoW standards.
if you find them meh, why do you find DF so great? They’re all over the place.
i could agree about some voiceline but questlines in se werent bad at all. Judging an exp basing on these things is ridiculous.
We can argue a lot about how’s goin the exp but advertising strategy isnt exactly the best way.
One last thing: i cant just understand why hiding behind classic chars. why?
Because they do not bother me, didn’t find that many voice lines that could be considered childish, don’t play the game for voice acting.
Why I think DF is great is because I like the gameplay, I am no longer required to jump trough whoops to do the things I want to do in the game, I have no issue maintaining my alts, actually found some great stories in some of the side quests, M+ and the raid are fun. And that’s just to name a few things.
Since requested back in 2008 at the start of Wotlk
Not nobody
They could be counterparts to the Ogres and they excatly have the same size
Because most of these people probably don’t have retail characters. Someone somewhere complained about something and they are jumping on the bandwagon. There is a very clear pattern that these people will say that DF is bad due to very niche things like VAs or something like that without mentioning anything else.
• The game is a raid/mythic+ simulator which takes away from the feeling of immersion being in an online universe. This takes away from reasons why one would want to obtain gear, as being powerful in a raid-logger expansion means a lot less than bringing that power into an immersive online universe.
• The shift towards mythic+ and raid centric progression only (heroic dungeons used to drop good loot, so did LFR). I was able to gear up in heroic dungeons and LFR then boost people doing challenge modes in MOP/WoD. You could be casual and play a game that respected your time better and offered real progression, even through the CM transmog which still holds value to this day. Why bother at all in the current system? It could not be a more of a blatant gear treadmill. It’s off-putting.
• I find the lore of DF boring at best with no interest whatsoever in the dev’s iteration of dragons, centaurs or story. This makes it very uncompelling when the only existing solo content is based around gaining reputation with these factions.
• The world/lore feels poorly put together, compared to the diverse cultures one found in older expansions or the base game.
• There’s no good content for solo players or things to do outside of mythic+/raiding/pvp, like suramar? Why no torgast that drops gear or item progression for players? The dailies in the current format are abysmal, in MOP they were tied to a story where you felt progression.
• The new class/race is very unappealing to me, subjective opinion for sure, but it has no draw whatsoever. If anything, it puts me off playing the game.
I think the question which seems harder to answer is, why is DF a good expansion? Without saying it’s good because it’s not Shadowlands or no borrowed power, those are non-answers.
Also on topic with the thread. People defending the Kul Tirans or other races. I don’t know the accuracy of the website but perhaps they might find the numbers somewhat insightful:

My account is glitched, I can’t hop on my retail characters but I have tried to lvl 63 trial and I didn’t even reach 62, was so damn childish, story is a very big part of WoW and this wasn’t it chief.
For the players complaining about this expansion, rest assured.
I read similar comments during Legion.
Like: “World of Peacecraft”.
Than BFA came and some people were rejoicing.
That was until the expansion ended and the status quo that determines that no faction is allowed to be defeated came in.
In my case I’m tired of seeing the Horde get villain batted. I prefer to have 1 bird in my hands than 2 flying away.
You will have your conflict expansion.
Just don’t complain when nothing gets achieved and another civil war erupts inside the Horde and the Alliance has to come to the rescue. As always.
Cheers.
Here some ideas:
Aakkoa, Gurloc, Tuskarr, Centaur, Broken Draenei, Earthen, Frostborn, Jinyu, Ankoan, Furbolgs, Dryads or keepers for the Alliance.
Worvar, Mogu, Hozen, Sethrak, Drogbar, Gnolls or Ogres for the Horde.
So you didn’t play the expansions…
Funny how you claimed that the bad VAs and the “childish” voice lines were all over the place when you didn’t even finish the first zone.
I finished the first zone and unlocked dragonflying.
I gave the expansion a try and it was just too damn boring.
It’s whimsical.
What so now I have to buy Dragonflight and try to get to 70 when the first zone already put me off?
Dragon riding is unlocked way before you finish the first zone. Weird tell to lem me know you are full of it.
Ok fair enough.
No you don’t, you are free to not like something but if you are saying that all of something is X when you barely even dipped your toes in it then yeah you are full of BS.
I don’t remember requesting any of those things.
But I’m glad I have my Vulpera and not some silly ogre.
Anonymity means they can say what they want and never have it be traced back to them.
They could post on multiple classic alts in the same thread to make it look like multiple people agree with them and people have no way of proving it.
They can freely troll while having 1000 hours spent in dragonflight.
As a rule of thumb, if a level 58 classic DK with a low post count is talking, it can be safely disregarded as trolling nonsense.
I finished the first zone, and I meant I reached 62 just barely before unlocking an achievement, mining a few nodes and logging off.
If the whole entire zone was full with stupid voice acting and whimsical crap, why would I even go on into the other zones. I’m gonna expect the same.
I honestly found it so funny and a moment of peace when Sendrax finally died in that questline and nobody mentioned that horrible character afterwards. What a dumb character that was.
See these are the kind of people that Blizzard caters to nowadays, people that don’t really find the Warcraft franchise appealing, they just want a cute furry fox to play. So sad.
Hmmm… interesting.
As an player who has played WoW since Vanilla I find these kind of comment quite disappoint. I wonder what I did to deserve such a remark.
Personally, I am happy that the WoW universe is expanding and moving forward rather than trying to grip hold of the past.
I could not agree more.
Classic alts are never good news for the forums.
Don’t worry. If you didn’t like the first zones/cut scenes, it does not in improve by the time you reach max level. Just more of the same.
