The whole entire zone is not full with whimsical stuff. Just as an example there is the story of the old remorseful Dragonmaw orc in that zone, but do you know why I know you didn’t do it? Because by doing all the quests in Waking shore you end up at lvl 64-65, which tells me that you didn’t do any side quests and I am questioning that you even completed the main quest, dragon riding is unlocked at chapter 2 in the main campaign.
Because you obviously have never taken interest in the Warcraft of old, you have no respect for the foundation like the devs and that’s why WoW is declining and leaving old fans in the dust.
Then you should know that they brought Metzen back for a reason, this obviously isn’t attracting a lot of players and Metzen was deciding on wether he wanted the Goblins or those “stupid Ogres” you call them to be playable. He chose Goblins that time.
First you insult something from the foundation of this franchise now you are surprised you are met with hostility.
Yeah I am confused why he is so perplexed, the first zone was full with childish, whimsical quest garbage and stupid voice acting, I was completely done with it.
Yes it isssssssss, I literally played the entire first zone. The only thing that was good was the Dwarf but that’s like 1 good thing in a hundred of bad things.
This whole expansion is full with whimsical and childish stuff, I wouldn’t be surprised if a lot of players decided to check it out and did not like it.
Then how come I know about the stupid character called Sendrax? How do I know she dies such a stupid way and that the quest just moves forward without any other NPC making a comment about her?
I unlocked dragonflying because I got the achievement of reaching the things to get more dragonflying jumps or whatever you call it in one of the zones. I know that you can customise your dragons.
That simply isn’t true.
Sorry.
An outlier still doesn’t change the feel of a zone or the majority of the cut scenes. Outliers seem to be the go-to for people defending this expansion in general. If you have trouble getting through the first five or ten cut scenes, you will stop trying. As an author you’re only going to have so many opportunities to draw in your audience before they stop caring about whatever narrative you’re trying to portray.
Then how did you end up only at level 62/3?
Because that is the quest before you unlock Dragonriding which is in chapter 2. If I remember correctly Sendrax dying was the end of chapter 1, in the waking shore there are 4 chapters in total for the main story and 5-6 additional chapters for side quests.
I mean he isn’t wrong about Vulperas.
blizzard really hate new players!
you already had it shown with the direspect you had for people that wanted “stupid ogres” playable, one of the core members of the Horde in the original warcraft.
Because I knew most of the sidequests were going to be cringe overloaded too. I knew about the dwarf one because it’s the most talked about how it’s the best one out of the miles of in DF on the forums. I heard there’s also a good moment with a dragonmaw orc.
Well I ended up at a plateau with Alexstrasza sending me to ride the red proto dragon where I learned to ride. Really, I don’t remember much because I was forcing myself to level through but at 62, I decided it just wasn’t worth it anymore.
So yeah barely made it out of the intro to the first zone. Amazing. Nowhere near the entire zone…
Well I don’t want to play as an Ogre. I’m quite happy with them remaining as an enemy rather than another playable race.
That doesn’t mean I don’t respect the Lore. it just means I’m happy we got Vulpera over Ogres.
We wanted the Nightborne, we got a Night elf cosplaying a Nightborne.
If he can try to refute every argument you put fourth, trying to invalidate how you feel, he can continue to deny acknowledging that what he likes isn’t well received by everyone.
But I did unlock Dragonflying didn’t i? So how, I was sent to the zone with the Centaur I think, I can’t remember, it was a month ago
Taht’s funny because the Vulpera were literally made out of thin air, they had 0 lore and the Ogres compared had tons of lore and background.
Bah.
it’s crazy, I’ve been here a lot since Cataclysm when I joined this game and the forums are so DEAD. The story lore forums were like the 2nd most active forum thread now its a GHOST TOWN with like 4 to 5 posts a day…
Like do they not see how less players there are? There’s no interest in the warcraft lore. Just look up a few posts and we have a player that respects the lore because she likes vulpera, a race that got added out of thin air and caused everyone with an inch of interest into warcraft lore to get a stroke.
Because you probably took the profession quest that ends in the second zone, you were no where near done with the 1st one.
Sure, they could have done a little more to build them up rather than just putting them in the game. But I see it as fresh and a future to build on.
Is he still baiting you with his classic toons?
We have deduced that he didn’t play the expansion XD.
It was obviously fan service that didn’t make much sense but to please the furries and get money from them.
Well I had seen enough. If the first section was going to be whimsical, childish and sterile, what would the other section look like then?
Are you somehow going to tell me it turns into this badass storyline full with testosterone pumped through the air as an orc slices a dragon’s head off in style or something?
Or am I going to get a lot more of “witty dragon” dialogue with dumb voice acting and the most whimsical quest text to follow.
Well they’re a business after all.
A lot of players seem to forget that.
I’m not trying to convince you into anything, if you didn’t like it you didn’t like it, it’s not my job to convince you otherwise. My issue is that you are generalizing the the expansion as a whole and speaking as someone who has played it when you didn’t even finish the first zone.
