-Bad lore, the only thing I can remember is some cringe brother rivalry. Too much politics in the game. For the first time ever I had to turn off dialogue audio because every character is annoying.
-Boring dungeons with too much running and boring mechanics. SL dungeon mechanics were way more creative instead of dodge the bad stuff on the ground.
-Bland music, I can’t remember a single tune from DF.
-Nothing to do outside of m+ and raiding.
–They completely scrapped the novel idea of challenging single player content like Visions and Torghast.
-No interesting borrowed power systems like legendaries.
-Zones are big but there’s nothing to do in them. Ironically it felt easier to get around in SL and in DF it feels like a hassle even with dragonriding.
-Too much sharding, open world feels like a single player game.
-pvp gear upgrades removed so there’s no incentive to get higher rating. Solo shuffle which was supposed to save pvp has 30+ min queues for dps so it’s dead on arrival for most players.
-Professions is the worst “content” to focus on, farming nodes is not content.
<edit/Disclaimer>: Please read True and False as “True and False as an opinion to an as definitive worded statement” and dont be alarmed. I dont think of myself as the authority on whats true or false.
Unfortunately thats true. There is nothing here at the moment. I dont think we ever had a worse starting plot in an expansion ever. It doesnt help that the walls of text are insane this time around. (1700+ Quests)
Thats also true.
Thats false. There is sooo much solocontent, with my time I cant even do it on one character. I think its nore content than we ever had.
Also false. There is something around every corner. And they are gib because of Dragonriding. Just like BC was big because it was designed for flying mounts.
Sharding is a hard point to get right. Too much and the world feels empty, too little and the world feels ridiculous (like ESO).
You shouldnt have said that. You made some valid points, up until you called something other might like and play “not content”. How would you like it when someone calls PvP noncontent (I just assume youre a PvPplayer).
Dungeons are good, just unbalanced. They do need to tweak the numbers, but when your group knows what to do, they are already quite fun to run! And I couldn’t say this about SL dungeons which I continue to dislike to this day.
It is still early in the expansion, but everything so far looks rather appealing. Not without its issues, certainly, especially on the technical side, but overall good – and so much better than restrictive, bothersome SL was. I look forward to play the game each day I am able to!
Professions r complicated too much but depends on what is your profession, honestly I don’t have the time or nerves to lv above 65.
About dragonfly … People should have the option to choose between dragon thing and regular mount. About lore… I stop pay attention after Bfa and I’m happy kekw
And an ugly creature that looks like a dragon but it’s not (or is it)? So it is our villain, I suppose. Also, primalists are attacking, they are also bad. Well, for me that’s enough lore, I stopped paying attention to it long ago. I am also not reading quest text, I started but gave up.
Disagree, the music is OK. The only issue is the Christmas bells in Ohran plains, why there are bells?
Totally disagree, there’s still a lot to do. I am not doing any of the mentioned and still haven’t completed the zones achievements, and renown, etc.
Light forbid, may there never be borrowed powers again,
You should try wm on and go to free for all zones.
Professions, although with some not small flaws, are still interesting to do. Gathering while dragonflying is a pain, here I’d agree.
But Blizzard decided to go with the secure thing (that which worked in the past so well should work now too) and they succeeded - copying the vibe from woltk with the Azure span zone, the Tuskar, etc.
What is PvP? What are Professions? What is Dragon Riding races? What are renowns?
MMO - MASSIVELY multiplayer online. While solo content should exist it should never be the focus as the game is at it’s core a co-operative effort.
Tell me you had 2 braincells fighting for 3rd place without telling me you have 2 braincells fighting for 3rd place.
Ahh yes, the “I don’t look at the map for qorld quests, pvp assassins or grand hunts” perspective.
weren’t you just asking for single player content? Also, this has 100% not been my experience.
So you only chase rating for rewards? So the titles aren’t enough? What about the elite transmog? Oh, oh, what about mounts?
Don’t know man, I played a good few hundred hours of new world and most of that was chill farming and pvp.
I think, and this isn’t so much a suggestion as it may appear, but I think maybe MMOs as a whole, or maybe just WoW is not for you? If you don’t like it my dude, play something else. You’ve got a list of complaints of things people asked to happen going forward. The community at large wanted rid of the things you seem to want back.
Why million gold? I am at 60 blacksmithing and have all the mats I need to continue, I just sell them right now because they are expensive instead of leveling.
Lore is bland. There are some nice moments but the rest was written in a hurry and voiced badly.
I cba doing bosses with “interesting “ mechanics with 3 affixes on top, especially with randoms. You will be grateful after 2 months that dungeons are “boring “ and “straightforward “.
I find music beautiful and relaxing. Not annoying IC stuff.
A lot to do outside instances. If you miss daily quests - be happy you don’t have to do them every day till you puke. Same world quests and dailies. I can’t step into SL zones without vomit creeping up my throat after all that diverse content in them.
Torghast was good on paper but so so boring and repetitive. They need to introduce something similar but more fun.
I think playerbase had enough of borrowed stuff. Bfa says hi.
A lot to do in zones. You didn’t have that much in other expansions in their first stage. Moving around is easy . I can get to another side of the zone in 30 seconds in my dragon. Good luck doing that in sl.
Go to storms and see how few players there are.
Don’t care about PvP.
Professions have never been a content. It is the means to get something. For me, they are a time sink, sometimes annoying but I find them useful. Getting some nodes is challenging and more interactive. That keeps from falling asleep .
Idk me as skinner and lw for example spent prob few hours farming so I could make just 3-4items is bad lol 5478436793 scales, skin also have felt more I farming I make less items. I cant imagine how others ppl do it with other professions! As someone who wants to do m+ and raids farming and lv professions is really difficult .
And then u stuck with progress professions at some point because u need rep and renow xDD
No dear Twinkposter, the OP didnt write in opinions, but in absolutes. Which means answers are also in absolutes.
Oh, and you wont bait me by calling me a Moron. I dont react to profanity and namecalling in real life, I certainly dont in virtual. Nice try though, have a cookie.
Gathering ore and herbs gives a lot of mats (the awakened stuff I mean) and I get Primal chaos easily from battlegrounds. Comp stop is best for this, but today it’s last day. The only time gated ingredient is the Spark.
RE renown yes, you need renown for recipes. But my playstyle is such that I spend 80% of my time in the open world doing quests and dailies (though they are fewer than in SL which is not good), and 20% in bgs. Renown is gained slowly, but not super slow. Also some recipes are drops. Indeed the price of such drops in AH can reach 300k, but I monitor and sometimes it’s much lower. I bought the plans for two epic pvp items for 7k total.
Its not good. I tried to read through all of it. Its just doesn hook you in on anything, like you usually would in past expansions. The music is also very forgettable. I felt that the most when I did a Mythic-MoPdungeon yesterday, where the music literally gave me goosebumps.
