Id dare to say that healing only is an issues when the party(like the avg pug) cant deal with affixes and take alot of unnecessary damage.
An A tier healer can get tossed over by members that are E tier, but the healer still takes the fall even if they went beyond the call of duty.
Blizzard: Let’s nerf healers in BETA, increase dmg and health pools!!!
Community: Omg healers suck, they can’t keep up
Blizzard: surprised pikachu face
OP - can’t take you seriously. Post on your 3k IO healer please.
As a player that returned to WoW after a very long break since Legion i can’t say much about the changes in responsibilities or balancing. I used to tank as a warrior back in the day and all the things tanks need to look out for nowadays really made the role more scary and impactful than it used to be.
As a healer i feel like i carry a huge burden on my shoulders with all the extra expectations from the rest of the group while sorting out all the information that is being displayed. More often than not, i have to watch my recording of a run to really figure out what was going on and if my decision making was on point or not. In any situation where things go wrong or downhill, you often don’t know the exact cause for it and it is very rare that someone is taking responsibility. It’s often easier to blame someone else and then just leave.
All the weakauras, addons and specific settings for your unit frames give you all the information you need, however most of the time you can’t even process all that information to make the correct decision while taking unknown variables into account when you are in a pug group.
I feel like the Healer’s job / workload is really dependant on the rest of the group. Most of the time, based on my expirience, you are obviously expected to keep everyone alive but in order to do that, you have to use every tool in the book, in order to fullfill your actual job. Additionally a lot of affixes in M+ are not necessarily an healers affix but the consequences of misshandling them is falling back on the healer.
For pugs specifically, i often have the feeling that people either don’t care about timing the key or they just don’t know any better. If you give advice to people or ask for assistance like “Could you try to stand in my Efflorescence to help me with healing?” then you are being ignored more often than not. Advice is usually welcomed but others in the group can’t be bothered with newer players and they just leave as soon as they realize what’s going on.
In conclusion i would say that reducing the amount of information that a healer needs to keep track of, excluding the rotation and their own cooldowns, would open up more room for other responsibilites and better decision making from the healers POV.
I’d put dps players in the same boat. They typically do tank damage on both ST/AoE and die from everything. It seems like us tanks are the only ones sticking to core values of WoW PvE and give our best every time.
The problem is that a lot of super bad losers with gamepads have upgraded their rating to 2400-2500. which is super easy with valor uncap.
hardly anything is kicked, mechanics are ignored and people run in circles like monkeys. I experience that as a healer all the time. and i can’t faceroll with my favorite class as easily as i can with druid…
at the moment, most keys 15-18 are hardly playable, because there are so many incompetents leeching! I remember a rogue who died 3 times from boss frontal attack in av +18. Was revived 2 times and just left the group the third time!
exactly such people are the problem, the m + experience mess up. they learn nothing and are too stupid for primitive things. because wow is not an e-sport. if all 5 people play along, many dungeons can be timed in peace!
that’s actually a fact. Why are we still discussing it? because who should calculate several routes for %, study mob skills, watch several videos a week about tactics and tricks? healer? lol…
I honestly wouldn’t blame the players for upgrading their gear with valor and taking advantage of the indirect nerf of dungeons and raids. In fact players expect others to do so because it is that easy now and actually required to get into higher keys.
problem is that gear can’t compensate the skill! I play m+ very rarely at the moment. and then only with friends.
because what i am currently experiencing in 18-20 is mostly not okay.
players don’t even know basic tactics. if you want to play higher keys, you shouldn’t earn your place! and don’t just hope that you get carried like a parasite for nothing like in the old days!
that’s what the post is about. a lot of losers want the rest of the group to do all the work for them…
and then it’s exactly these toxic flamers that offend others and ruin timed runs…
