DF - Still 50 max chars per account?

I get that you don’t share this opinion however, I was giving you the reason why no one has seen or heard anything about the cap being raised.

If you want to play an Envoker, just delete one of the 50, let me say that again, one of the 50 characters you have created.

That’s an immensely flawed logic. A quick google search would net you countless results of people asking for this, and the topic was also brought up in one of the Ion Hazzikostas interviews recently, where he said it would require fundamental changes to the game’s engine, which is “scary”, but recognized it would suck to be required to delete a character to play Envoker on 50/50 accounts and would like to avoid it.

Your opinion does not dictate the general consensus, hence why I don’t care to hear it, no matter how you rephrase it or reason it.

Edit: And please don’t take offense to that, as I don’t mean any.

You guys deserve to be barred from prepatch for misspelling Evoker. No respect whatsoever.

You see the thing about hoarders is that no amount of bag space will ever be sufficient, somehow some way they are going to find themselves in need of more.

Yeah, that’s Ion gaslighting you lot, the amount will never be enough, he knows this.

In my opinion, we should have enough character space to create one of each class, not spec but class, and they gave us way more than that.

We all have opinions, I don’t take offence to someone else’s.

I’m gonna guess that the limit is there because economics, it costs to have many characters in the database, and in any case, who the hell plays 50 characters?

It seems there’s already an answer, you have more than one account, so if you need more than the very generous 50 spaces, pay for a second WoW account as part of your battlenet

Races available to chose from:

Horde

  • Orc
  • Troll
  • Tauren (Heritage armor)
  • Forsaken
  • Blood Elf (Heritage armor)
  • Goblin (Heritage armor)
  • Pandaren
  • Highmountain Tauren (Heritage armor)
  • Nightborne (Heritage armor)
  • Mag’har Orc (Heritage armor)
  • Zandalari Troll (Heritage armor)
  • Vulpera (Heritage armor)

Alliance

  • Human
  • Night Elf
  • Dwarf (Heritage armor)
  • Gnome (Heritage armor)
  • Draenei
  • Worgen (Heritage armor)
  • Pandaren
  • Lighforged Draenei (Heritage armor)
  • Void Elf (Heritage armor)
  • Dark Iron Dwarf (Heritage armor)
  • Kul-Tyran (Heritage armor)
  • Mechagnome (Heritage armor)

24 different races *2 models each (Male and Female) = 48 models + 2 Dracthyr (Male and Female) = 50 models

I don’t have the character limit problem as I don’t collect Heritage armor, play allied races and I only play Horde.
However if I were to follow this path I would definitely need more space. So I understand where people are coming from.

I love customizations and more options, however the bad side is: people who want to collect Heritage armor will have their slots filled pretty soon as Heritage armor came during the end of Legion and people probably had already many duplicate races on their inventory, from previous expansions.

For example: Orc due to racial stun resistance is a very good PVP choice for all the classes, available for Orc race.
Night Eff is a very good PVP choice if you want a instant stealth during combat, for all the classes available for Night Elf race Race.

Edit:typing.

Cheers.

But I play Worgen with each class, Same with Nightborne

which means 8 + 8, then 4 + 4 in 10.0 (Possible)

and then regular tauren as 5 classes which I play is, Shaman, Warrior, paladin, Druid and Death knight

As far as I know they did not. To my knowledge it is staying at 50, simply because from Blizzard’s perspective you can just get a second account to get 50 additional character slots.

Honestly it shouldnt be more than 10. You are reserving way too many names.

Its to stop altoholics as myself, what you have to do is delete one character, as you can allways have him back by pressing the button on the character screen at the bottom.

So then, we can have more than 51?

In a way yes, but you have to delete one but you can allways get him back.

That’s what I mean to do

I do it all the time  useful if you make a new character or 2 each week.

You seriously need to rethink certain things.

Need more than 50 chars to farm pandaria 1 in 2000 chance wb mounts

We definitely do not need the character limit to increase. A lot of people here are forgetting that having a character on the server costs Blizzard money and server space and if they increased the limit they would start increasing the sub price for everyone including people who don’t have more than 1 character.

I would be more than happy to split the subscription and have 2 tiers. A cheap one for people who only have one character and another one triple the cost that allows you to have 100 characters for you guys.

Someone on beta created over 50 characters. They stopped at 71 and made a thread in the US beta forums, but no response if this is intended or a bug tho
