Dh covenant specific legendaries

Kyrian: Blind Faith, Elysian Decree shatters 2 additional Lesser Soul Fragments and grants you Blind Faith for 20 sec. For each Lesser Soul Fragment you consume while Blind Faith is active you gain 1% Mastery and 10 Fury.
Inventory Type: Chest, Back

Necrolord: Demonic Oath, When Fodder to the Flame’s demon explodes it inflicts Fiery Brand to 5 nearby enemies for 5 sec. Additionally Shattered Soul’s duration is increased by 8 sec.
Inventory Type: Waist, Wrist

Night Fae: Blazing Slaughter, The Hunt engulfs you with Immolation Aura upon reaching your target and you gain 3% Agility for 12 sec for each enemy hit.
Inventory Type: Shoulder, Feet

Venthyr: Agony Gaze, Sinful Brand deals 10% increased damage and Eye Beam/Fel Devastation damage increases the duration of Sinful Brand by 0.5 sec.

The Kyrian one looks quite underwhelming with mastery being a very weak stat for both havoc and vengeance, while the fury generation effect seems anecdotale.

The Necrolord one seems quite strong however, providing both good aoe, single target and defense. With that and necrolord being the best defensive covenant it’s probably going to make it the go to for vengeance.

The Night Fae I kinda have mixed feelings on. It seems solid in aoe so NF is likely going to stay a competitive choice in m+, however the single target seems lackluster as you will only be able to get one charge of the buff in those situations. NF has been the go to covenant for havoc in pvp since the start of SL and it’s most likely going to stay the same, however the legendary will have little impact on arenas as you will struggle to get more than one charge of the buff in that setting. Still it could be used to get a massive unbound chaos fel rush in bgs by striking a bunch of packed ennemy with the hunt first, so it has cheese potential.

The venthyr one has the most potential in my mind. It is very good in single target but also good in aoe, as meta still spreads sinful brand and eye beam/fel devastation will refresh it on multiple targets. Comboed with the blind fury and cycle of hatred talents and the conduit reducing the cd of sinful brand and the dot will reach a very high uptime. This might make venthyr the go to covenant for havoc in raids. It might even gave NF finally some competition in pvp, at the condition that blizz finally makes brand undispellable, by giving havoc options to play in a melee cleave composition rather than in a set up heavy one like paired with a mage.

:o Really tempted with that Necrolord power. Still yet to switch and see the random funses of it myself yet, though.

Almost all legendary effects seem underpowered for havoc in single target.

Kyrian could bring Demonic Appetite back into game. Without Appetite this leggo does basically nothing useful since you just spare like one Demons Bite every minute due to some +10 fury consumes.

Can’t say much about Necro but seems to be an aoe leggo. The increased buff duration is about 1.8% overall dps increase. The damage from a 5 sec Fiery Brand (vengeance version) every ~90 secs is literally nothing on single target but that Fiery Brand maybe has a modified damage for havoc.

Night Fae also an aoe one. If that Immolation Aura also buffs Fel Rush with Unbound Chaos talent that would be ~1.5% overall dps increase single target. The Immolation Aura doesn’t stack and also the damage buff from Immo Aura conduit resets to 0% when re-applied so you don’t want to use the second Immo Aura while the previous one is still active which means just ~1/2 extra Immo Aura every 90 secs which is a ~0.5% dps increase by that DoT single target.
3% agility for 12 sec every 90 sec is just ~0.4% dps increase.
When adding everything that would be ~2.4% increased dps.

The usefulness of that Venthyr leggo depends on how Eye Beam extends Sinful Brand duration. Eye Beam with Blind Fury talent produces 15 ticks, so an Eye Beam probably extends its duration by 7.5 seconds. That leggo basically doubles the duration of Sinful Brand then while it also deals 10% increased damage during these 15.5 secs. That would be roundabout 6% dps increase which isn’t too bad. Don’t know how it will work together with Meta which also applies Sinful Brand and resets Eye Beam. Since Sinful Brand doesn’t stack you would maybe need to change your opener. Anyway that sounds like a 100% Sinful Brand uptime the first 30 Seconds instead of actually 50% uptime. Lucky CoH proccs may bring it to more than just 6% overall dps increase but delaying either Eye Beam or Sinful Brand to bring them in line is also a dps loss.

All of them except Venthyr can not compete with the leggos we already have. Both Burning Wounds and Darkglare Boon increase the dps by 9-10%.

I’ve been playing around with the Venthyr leggo on the PTR and can say that yes, Sinful Brand doesn’t stack, but the openner shouldn’t be too different. When going on target dummies, I would do my normal openner of Imo > FR > DB > Eye Beam > Meta > Eye Beam. This would usually extend Sinful Brand to ~12 seconds, as it still ticks during the 2.5 second cast of Eye Beam. Once it hits 1 second left, I recast Sinful Brand, extending it to ~ 9 seconds, which is within RNG for getting a third Eye Beam right before it runs out, essentially giving you a 3rd Sinful Brand cast for free. Essentially, if you time it right, you get Sinful Brand at 2x the duration +10% damage to it. I don’t think it’s worth it to take the CDR conduit, as that second potency could be good for Relentless Onslaught or Serated Glave early on. If the CDR conduit for Sinful Brand brings it down to 45 seconds cd, then it might be worth taking it because you’ll have it available for just about every other Eye Beam, which honestly would be pretty nice gains on ST.

For the other question on whether the Night Fae leggo gives UBC, it does, but it synergises much better with the Korayn momentum build than with Demonic, just as it incentivises you to be using both FR charges in quick succession. In general though, momentum is obviously really finicky and you just have to hope you have really good reaction time and 0 lag otherwise you really lose out on that window for max damage.

The other bit of Venthyr that should be taken into account is the new final soulbind for Nadjia, were you can get 20% vers, e.g. 20% additional damage, to your Sinful Brand, and not have to hold it for the Euphoria + Eye Beam overlap, which is very tricky to do normally.
