I don’t often write on the forums, but in this case I wanted to offer my feedback in regards to the Hero Talents for DH.
Aldrachi Hero Talents
In short; I think they are too complicated than they need to be. I am not saying they are complicated in and of themselves, but the rotation and playstyle feels quite off.
So here is what I would change:
Reaver’s Glaive should replace Throw Glaive and have an inherently longer cooldown per charge. For every 5-6 soul fragments you consume, a Reaver’s Glaive charge is restored. It’d make it feel far more natural rather than swirling around collecting fragments or waiting for felblade to proc.
The “if cast after” procs are what makes the rotation feel so weird, in my opinion. So instead, in the case of Reaver’s Mark, I’d just have it place a standard 10% damage increase whenever the enemy is debuffed with Reaver’s Glaive, rather than the 7% or 14% (if cast after Blade Dance)
Following up on that, Fury of the Aldrachi could either just give the median amount of slashes (4-5, rounded up or down) instead of the “if cast after” modifier. Alternatively, perhaps a chance (or guarantee) to spawn a lesser soul fragment for every critical strike a blade dance makes during its animation? That could potentially also replace Aldrachi Tactics.
Keen Engagement feels a bit lackluster as I rarely feel fury starved. But perhaps with a potential change to Reaver’s Glaive, it might feel more justified to pick over the alternative.
That was all for now. Maybe they’re bad ideas, maybe they’re great ideas - I leave that up for the devs/community to decide. But I felt it was better to voice my opinion rather than not to.
P.S - Demon Hunters should have a flight mode, like the Dracthyr. I will die on this hill until we get it!
