DH mastery

Hello, I know most of us are probably really pissed right now about the current state of DH, but I would like to ask if Blizz would rework our mastery (which they are not gonna do, its just theoretically, for fun), what would you like to see ?

Considering mastery is pretty much a dead stat for both of our specs it could get some buff or slight rework anyways …

From the top of my head :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

  1. Movespeed + after moving x units you deal n% more dmg for y seconds. Where n scales.
    Basically less retarded momentum.
    Should be able to be kept up 100% you basically tip toe left right all the time. I do that anyway because reasons.

  2. movespeed + convert x% of your non chaos dmg into chaos dmg. Direct Chaos damage (not from mastery) deals additionally y% dmg over n seconds (x & y scales)
    I like that because you get x% dmg bypassing armor or deal strait up more dmg in a non burst fashion. (Because pvp and stuff)

  3. i am out of ideas :slight_smile:

Those would be good … I would like anything tbh :smiley: As Havoc mastery is literally useless, increases your chaos dmg, when you got plenty of physical and fire dmg anyways, woowie thanks. For Vengeance its pretty much the worst stat by far as well …

Would like something like multistrike for Havoc … Just keep it simple and your mastery has a % chance to deal chaos dmg or something like that (anything is better than what we got now tbh) - or make demonic baseline for both veng and havoc and increase the demon form duration by mastery … something interesting and at least slightly usefull :smiley: :smiley:

True all the fire damage should be chaos damage. Doesn’t even make sense since DH has no idea how to conjure pure fire in the first place.

Demonic baseline is a whole other topic the DH community is asking for years. But giving DH a class core around struggling with your inner demon and hoping in and out is something i can guarantee won’t happen anytime soon :frowning:

Like the mastery tho. Increasing all dmg in meta by mastery would give DH that short bursty feel in short circles it strives for :slight_smile:

Yep, demonic baseline would be great and some mastery that is not worthless would be too. Like seriously mastery is totally boring and worthless for both dh specs.

If Blade Dance and Immo Aura did Chaos Damage Mastery would be better.

Or they can just change Mastery into increasing all magic dmg instead of Chaos.

Demonic in form of mastery, more mastery you have, more time it last after EB, also it buff your mov speed and leech. In this way we could have 2 more talent options and our core abilities would be centered around demonic. Meta should get a 2,5min cd and be mastery dependent, with a reduction in the duration, like, max 20 sec. Also the class fantasy would be so much better

That just makes it broken. The secondary stats should be more or less equal.

Demonic, First Blood, Fel Barrage any of those 3 should be baseline

That depend, if mastery could go to 30 seconds demon form it would be absolutly broken, what if let’s say with 40% mastery you get a 10 second meta and 30% leech? Would it be broken? I don’t think so, also remember… doing this would put you without that much haste We have now… it would be just a problem of numbers. It would still be better this way, at least the mastery would feel meaningfull, and epic :rofl:

They should just deal Chaos Damage inside of Metamorphosis. Demon Form should be more important and get Leech back.

Metamorphosis is so damn cool but the effects gained are so little.

Cause they took away its 20% leech for no reason whatsoever

It’s basically wc3 dh fluff, back then immolation aura was a regular spell and had a normal fire look to it. The dh didn’t deal any chaos damage until he entered meta at which point his auto attacks became ranged chaos bolts which did chaos damage. Though chaos damage worked differently in that game, while it’s just a school of magic in wow it was the supreme form of damage in wc3 as it bypassed all resistances, physical or magical.

Yea, they should, thats why vers has 35 weight on my veng, haste has 30 and crit has 20 … and y know what ? mastery has … 1,05 :slight_smile: Same with my havoc (not that drastic but still like 80% worse than any other stat)
