DH or Fury Warrior for pvp?

As the title says. I got both at 120 but my warr is more geared than my dh due to it being my main, however, i’m taking a different approach in Bfa. In earlier xpacs i used to play very casually and rarely did i play multiple contents, meaning i either did pve or i did pvp, i never did both at the same time.

In current xpac i found myself more immersed into the game, wanting to dive into everything it has to offer. My warrior started out great at the start of bfa in pve, top tier in Uldir as arms and then i went for fury and never looked back. Crazy fast gameplay, huge numbers, high dps, but as time went on and 8.1 released, i found myself unwanted in most +10 keys and above due to my class’s lack of utility while also falling behind a lot of classes in BoD, and so ive decided to level up my dh for that aspect, being able to have a guaranteed spot in any pve content i desire while still performing very well.

But the problematic falls here: Fury warrior sure fell behind in pve but in pvp i feel like a god. I’m someone who enjoys arenas and rated bgs just as much as i enjoy duels, bgs and wpvp and warrior destroys in all of these. But i dont want to keep jumping around from dh to warr or vice versa if i wanted to play a certain content, i want to sink in some serious time in only one of them. I know for a fact dh destroys warr in pve so thats a guaranteed point, but which of these 2 classes would you guys say performs better in pvp? How are dhs even doing in pvp currently ? Ive heard that their damage can be very lacking in arenas, is that true?

I want to hear your opinions and your experiences on that matter as it will help me greatly in deciding which class i should stick with for both contents.

Thanks for your time

Note: Dont tell me to go tank, as ive never really enjoyed it much.

I am afraid that my answer won’t be something that helps you to decide.

Havoc DH is one of the best classes for mythic +. It also has no problem to earn spot in raid. But arenas? In short: No.
It is painful to play 2v2. Don’t get me wrong, DH does decent overall damage there, but that is not the thing that wins you the arena. DH doesn’t have any burst (yes, they have eye beam, but it can and almost always is interrupted), which means that it is hard for them to set up a kill.
In most cases fury warrior or unholy DK takes my healer down in couple of minutes while I need to set up really complicated combo with imprison, stun, meta and maledict to be able to kill someone. The mana drain is in my opinion the most save way how to win as DH, but again, if your healer is taken down early, there is not much what you can do.

In short. DH is perfect in PvE, you will be more welcomed than fury warrior. But on the other hand, if you want to do arenas (especially 2v2) it will be much harder and frustrating for you to win than with fury warrior.

I see. That’s a shame, DH looks very promising as a class in whole. I figure i could have fun with it in wpvp and duels i think, with the leeching talents and the traits that give you an absorb + orb everytime u consume magic. Solid build

Eh, what? Most top guilds use one demon hunter. Or two. That means they’ll have maybe 3 demon Hunters, out of which 1 always benches.

You’re way more likely to find a raid spot as an Ele Shaman, Warlock or Balance.

I look at top guilds all the time on wowprog and you never see Demon Hunters in high demand.

This is going off topic, please do not sabotage my thread with what you see in the absolute top guilds, none of us care about what they take. I’ve seen your thread, it’s never-ending, you seemed so rigid and stuck on your opinion no matter how many people replied and proved you wrong. I don’t need the continuation of that negativity in my posts.

Someone said that the class has no issue earning a spot in the raid. This is literally false, and you can see that by going to WoWprogress and seeing what classes are in demand. Yes, every guild will want at least a Havoc, but they already have one or two and they don’t really need a third.

I don’t know what your problem is, but forums are public and you don’t get to decide who posts where.

I’m sorry i keep forgetting some people still havent properly learned manners. I know pretty well that he mentioned the spot of dhs in raids but you keep on deriving from my original question and the whole point of this thread. You cannot open a subject in another guys’s post, that’s selfish. I advise you to move on from your original conflict with the class, it has no place to be solved here.

No, I made a post in which I corrected him. That was one post. So how can I keep ‘deriving’ when it’s my only post here?

I did not. I simply corrected someone who posted something that is literally false. That’s what you do with false info, you correct it. If that hurts your feelings you should probably stick to private forums.

Only reason i reacted like that was because it would probably open an argumentation with the guy and the whole original subject would be lost. That’s not the preferable scenario.

Don’t worry. There will be no arguing from my side. There is no point to argue with Kelduril. You have two opinions, it is up to you to decide which one is the correct one or applies to your case.

You’re arguing it’s easy to find raidspots as a Demon Hunter when most competitive guilds use 1 in their raid, out of 20 spots, and as many Warlocks/Shaman/Druids as possible.

You’re literally wrong, buddy.

Except mine isn’t opinion, it’s math. If guilds have 1 spot for your class and 3 for others, DH has higher difficulty finding spots.

I started this expansion as a Fury warrior and drifted away from it within the first 3/4 weeks of playing BFA, levelled my DH and never looked back.

Don’t get me wrong, there is things I really miss about a warrior that a demon hunter just doesn’t have, they are different play styles etc. On the other foot though there is things that a DH has that I wished I could have as a warrior.

You could argue that I never gave Fury a proper chance as I never went into a raid with it, I mainly stuck to dungeons and PvP, but as it is right now? DH wins it for me.

You need to look at what class suits you more, for me the DH is a simplistic class that performs well in almost all aspects of the game so is easy to pick up and is user friendly, plus isn’t very punishing if you mess up. Fury is a little different and VERY reliant on being enraged, which at times will give you a headache, the DH doesn’t really have that.

The simple answer is (cliché I know) no one can choose for you, unfortunately, but I hope this gave a little insight to what helped me choose.

You could say…it enrages you? Gonna let myself out now.

DH more fun, fury is boring.

Dh is a helicopter because they can take off and Fury warrior is like a Nissan nismo GT because they have a very fast acceleration.

I will take a helicopter class over a charging Nissan nismo GT
