Dh shadowlands

You need to think a bit too. 2170 at 2300 mmr in 2s is pretty much the same as yours, mind you I played for 2 weeks at season start and later quit to just recently come back. We are not talking about how good DH is performing, how well the class overall is doing, my main argument is STILL purely about how Blade Dance is designed. That. Is. It.

If other people, who play PvP regularly and have reached gladiator multiple times, aswell as people around your rating, Demon Hunters even, say the same as I do, there must be something to it. Almost anyone in game will say Blade Dance is stupid, you can literally just go and ask away. There is nothing more to it. You pretty much only played DH you say, go play other classes and get a better perspective.

What else should you say? Realise that Blade Dance is stupid and could be changed to something else instead of completely nerfed/removed or don’t say anything at all because your talk doesn’t change much and we will be here forever.

Yet again you say your experience is okay whilst mine is totally zero when I’m pretty close to yours in 2s. For your future post about “Yeah but your 3s exp is only 2k so you have nothing to say there” that’s about to come, I already adviced you on what to do and ask people at your rating or higher to prove my point. I watch streams and youtube regularly too. Because some how if you’re not 2400 you don’t understand anything. Blade Dance is stupidly designed and it is what this whole mess is about. We can talk about rating all day so you can cheese points instead of talking about core designs and mechanics if you want. This whole 2s 3s will just become a big cringe fiesta for future readers who will come and call us neckbeards.

Can you please, and I mean this in the nicest way possible, explain how you think Blade Dance design right now is perfect and should not be changed so that you can’t completely mitigate boss mechanics and other stuff any longer?

All I read are excuses. You want to tell me you can get to 2400 cause you had reliatvely nice mmr while you have 60% winrates at 1.5 right now? Hard to believe but up to you.

But I am all for removing the dodge if we get rid of Chains of Ice, FoF Parry, double Conflag Root & Coil, far too long roots from Survival, FoF par-… ah… pretty much all the other things that make the other classes strong, isnt it?

See how easy that works ? But before this just goes back and forth again: They will never get rid of the dodge, because DH ultimately needs it so badly if they have to go in as a leather melee. <— and this even more so after the huge nerfs to DH with Shadowlands on the horizon.

And THIS is something you would know if you would play at good rating. THAT would be something you would know if you play DH more than just a week. THAT is something I know because I play this class for almost five years straight soon.

Your excuses so far have been problems that all classes have to deal with and some arena experience not far from mine. I already mentioned I do not play 3s, that is proven by my 2k achievement.

You keep saying remove when I said change it’s functionality or tie it to a new spell with increased dodge duration but slightly longer CD like FoF so you can atleast track it in Omnibar and counterplay it. Chains need to be 50% instead of 70%, I already agreed on nerfing it. I already said FoF IS bad, doubly conflag root should be slow instead, duration of roots from Survival isn’t bad imo, should just get a cooldown instead of being spammable but that is for another topic. This topic is purely about Demon Hunters in shadowlands, stop changing it, I never denied other classes were stupid and you know it.

You brought up removing again, twice in this post, when no one else did and decided to throw in yet another rating bash to make yourself feel good countering arguments I never made in the first place. 20 - 16 is 4, not nearly 5 and you complain about my maths.

Afaik DH can only get rid off one boss mechanic, and that is Tol Dagor the last boss with the targeted shot.

And what would YOU give DH then to survive in PvP against melees, when they already flop like butter against casters? Do tell.

Because I think in all honestly that Blade Dance is fine. Dodge and Mana burning are both fitting themes for DH given its WC3 part.

I would make an ability with a 30 second cooldown, off the GCD, simliar to Sharpen Blade in terms of how it affects another ability to make your next Blade Dance increase your dodge chance by 100% for 3-4 seconds. This is to make it trackable with Omnibar.

I would also give them a fair amount of baseline leech, remove leech completely from Metamorphosis, reduce cooldown of Metamorphosis to 3 minutes but also increase damage during Metamorphosis so that you are not baseline defensive during your massive offensive go, but baseline defensive outside of your gos. You sacrifice your leech for massive damage basically.

I would also remove Mana Burn since they are getting a Mortal Strike, and I would also give them ranged slows, and perhaps ranged burst damage in the form of Fel barrage and bleeds from Legion.

I would also buff other builds instead of just Demonic.

You cant dodge kidney anymore because 1s dodge frame from blade dance is gone. Only when you are in meta and with demonic nerfed down to six seconds you will see only one death sweep (blade dance) within that time frame.

It really isn’t hard to wait the blade dance for a kidney shot/cheap shot. Outskilled.

did they really take away the dodge? becauss i heard people say it but on wowhead bladedance still has the dodge effect for shadowlands
