Did 4 Delves Tier 8 and this is what I got from Vault

I think that the vault should allow some sort of targeting given it is a 1x piece per week.

Like even the worst case scenario of me picking up 1x bis per week means it will take me almost 4 months to get full 639, and that if i play religiously every week. I think that would be an acceptable time anyway, especially if we consider that not every character/person start playing d1 of the season.

I started playing my druid the other week, so even if 1 bis x week was the case i would not be full bis in time for s2. It is so stupid :joy:

If they did that it would kill the trinket farming scene and also maybe the crafting scene, which would harm the token selling scene.

I would just pick 2H weapon first week then any trinkets I wanted in weeks 2 and 3. Then pick tier slots as the tier maker unlocks.

That is extremely unfortunate. I was annoyed with my 1 week of horrible RNG but 4 weeks is absurd!

I would say that generally I like the vault and I’m usually excited to get something cool on a Weds - but then I only do delves, some LFR and go after old mogs and mounts so I never have BiS items.

I wish they would do something so that we don’t get duplicate items in the vault though, or make them warband-bound so that I can at least move a useless trinket to an alt that needs it.

Remind me of where the bad part of this is.

Who said is going to work like that? You guys take an example (not even a solution, i called it “worst case scenario”) i made and build upon it as if i made some sort of “deep dive” on how the system is going to work.

My only point was that:

It’s hardly a deep dive. If you say it has targeting and I say I’d target stuff. What was I supposed to think that it wouldn’t allow me to target anything?

That’s already how the Vault works and the crafting system is already more or less a bad targeting system.

I said “some sort of targeting”, it could mean literally anything.
Target stats.
Target dungeons or bosses.
And given i did not explain anything specific on how the targeting could work, what you deducted is you building on my idea, not my idea.

I mentioned 1x bis per week to give context to the time it would still take to have a character completely geared with bis (around 4 months) which to me its a reasonable timeframe, given you have to play each week religiously for 4 months.

But the fact that i consider that timeframe reasonable does not equal saying that they should allow player to take 1xBis from chest each week how they prefer.

I think it was implemented since Shadowlands, but I am not a 100% sure on that.

I know for certain that it was a thing in Dragonflight however.

Well your hypothetical “target 1 bis item per week” was what I was responding to specifically when I said “If they did that”.

I think my point still stands and isn’t a deep dive. It’s not like you said “some targeting” then gave no further elaboration and I made up the 1 bis per week hypothetical.

But is not something i took into consideration besides for the timeframe, so we are talking about nothing

I just want more control of the loot table on them. I wanna be able to say to it “hey I’m only interested in loot from dungeons XYZ, not ABC” and that way get a better chance dodge items I know I don’t want.

Or the ability to get a token instead that I can then expend on a dungeon run chest, just the same as in delves, that then contains a random myth track item from that dungeon. That would go a heckuva long way when you’re feeling unlucky.

Instead I’m getting sockets but no items I want to put the sockets into!

How? Lol. I do lvl 10s and get 603 at the end WITH a coffer key! Outrageous!

No, it did this in DF too
