Did Blizzard forget about that Pandaren dude from the cinematic?

I’ve…um… I’ve never seen any of the Kung-Fu Panda films…

Your lack of cinematic lore knowledge disturbs me…

You should totally watch it, it’s a great trilogy. There’s some really great action in them and they do get pretty deep, the second movie being my absolute favorite.

Also has a gorgeous soundtrack composed by Hans Zimmer.

That would be Chen Stormstout.

And sure, he’d be a fun character to see again.

But I honestly don’t mind the low amount of Pandaren. We are reclusive and shy away from adventure, danger, and war - except a very small percentage.

And besides, it isn’t that long ago. 8.3 took place in the Vale of Eternal Blossoms which, as you may know, is full to the rafters of Pandaren.

no. Jaina/Anduin & Thrall/Baine is faction leaders, not only one race leaders. Same for a Velen - he isn’t here but he is the Draenei leader, same for Mechatorque, Gazlowe or Talanji - they all aren’t here

Jaina isnt a faction leader. Anduin is. Anduin is the High King of the Alliance. Jaina is merely the leader of the Kul’tirans. She is equal to Tyrande etc at best (and even that is questionable given the Kul’Tirans arent a core group of the Alliance) but stands below Anduin in terms of power within the Alliance.

Also if you bring Thrall and Baine into this then all other leaders of the horde are defacto faction leaders given the Horde council. This includes Ji Firepaw being a faction leader. In fact Ji holds a higher position of Power within the Horde than Jaina does within the Alliance.

Basically. Some of them just integrated; in BfA particularly they show up as random NPCs in Alliance uniforms.

It’s high time Blizz let them move out of the Stormwind/Orgrimmar ghettos. If they’re not to get a proper corner of a city, they should be found as shop owners patrolling guards at least :pouting_cat:

Utilising the characters that they have isn’t the best part of the Story team at all. I mean, just look how they used Vol’Jin after being made warchief, as in nothing whatsoever before they moved on with the next one.

A total miss on both Ji and Aysa was done as well, this I’m still haven’t forgiven that team for what they did and there was a lot of opportunities for a great story there from 5.0 to 5.4 on how both would’ve tried to balance things out while trying to keep the faction they joined happy but oh no, we had to go back to Thrall/Jaina love affair thing again. rolls eyes

And as bad as Elderscrolls can be sometimes in story in itself, it’s miles ahead of what Blizzard has managed to do in their games. I rather they get better staff or at least better management within the story team side of things to sort this out as these mistakes just keep on coming in expansion after expansion.

It’s the only one thing that irks me a fair bit, the standards on that part of this game has dropped, not that it was high to begin with. I blame them putting most stuff into novels as well. It’s a mess and not sure if it’s just one person or a group of persons in the company that combine with decisions to get to this point. But it’s been going on before MoP expansion and it’s been happening long after MoP expansion.

It’ll no doubt happen again during Dragonflight as well. Something I hope Microsoft says enough and sorts that out, even if it means clearing out a fair few that made this issue remain.

It gets worse. Vol’Jins story is being continued or rather concluded for the time being in the Night Fae Campaign. So unless you dont play them you dont find out what happened with Vol’jin and why he didnt move on into the Shadowlands after having died during Legion.

Microsoft isnt owning Blizzard yet. And they wont be for quite some time still.

It gets much worse. What does a chieftain of a small tribe have to do with the loa of Zandalari kings he didn’t even worship in life? Right. Nothing. And yet we got what we got.

They’re minding their own in Pandaria.

We know since BFA that it is believed that “powerful enlightened zandalari” can become Loa. “Or so it is to be believed” according to the scroll that you can read. We can highly assume it isnt reserved for Zandalari and was just written in Zandalari fashion aka “we are best race” given how the Zandalari look down on any other race on azeroth.

Also he technically didnt have to do anything with Rezan. He just happened to be there while Rezan was pretty much done for already so Rezan gave his Anima to merge with him. Also Vol’Jin was known to the Zandalari so its safe to to assume he was known to Rezan as well and Vol’jin being aware of Rezan etc. And Vol’Jin wanted vengeance and i suppose that did flow his boat.

Im less annoyed with the story as far Vol’jin is concerned and how hes ultimately turned into a loa (not the loa of kings. Talanji already stated that this rank is reserved for Bwonsamdi in the books because of his actions) and more annoyed that they bar a very important piece of lore for the Horde or the game in general behind a single covenant that is not tied to any of the other 3 covenants despite Kyrians, Necrolords and Venthyr all having their stories connected.
