Did I get lucky with mount drop

Hey, today i re-subscribed to do some mount farms as I was bored, never done them before. So I’m following a guide and I do the VoA run for the grand black war mammoth. I kill all 3 bosses at same time and I see it drop, my first ever run on it and it dropped.

Is the mount rare or was I just extremely lucky?

It is rare and yes you were extremly lucky.

If I remember right its drop chance is 1-3%.

Oh damn so I should be happy, wish I saved that luck for ashes or invincible but great :smiley:

haha, Invincible is my most desired mount… over 500 runs so far and no luck :smiley: but one day!!! ill have him <3

I got the Sea Turtle today while fishing around the Darkmoon Faire. A place where according to Wowhead has a 0% chance to drop.

I was farming the potions from the wreckage pools, they can sell well.

I´ve been pretty lucky with my mounts.
I got the War mammoth on my first try.
I got ashes of al ar on my 10th try.
I got Invincible on my maybe 200 try.
I got the kor´kron Juggernaut on my 4th try
I got the Smoldering ember wyrm on my second try.

Feels like i´m bragging, but after 18 years, I guess I deserve them :slight_smile:

That Invincible… it hurts just thinking about running ICC 200 times

Yeah I know, but to ease the pain a little there are some things you can do that makes it go a little faster.
Gunship battle for ex. You dont have to fight. As soon as you can shoot the other ship with the cannons you just spam it. Before the ships have stopped next to eachother you will have won the battle.

The other tip is the dragon that has portal around it. You´re supposed to heal her. Just skip the whole thing. Hug the wall and run around her to the gate down to Sindragosa.

I got Invincible and Mimiron’s Head in something like 50-100 runs each.

Ji-Kun however … I’m well over 200 runs and still nothing.

You can get lucky on your first try, or keep getting unlucky for years.
