Did Paladin blessing threat generation changed with Sod?

Greetings,

Bit of a nerd talk here, but for great application
I am trying to understand how 2 simingly identical paladin blessing setup can generate different threat (context below) :

First one is an Ouro fight on November 21st of 2023 :

  • Improved righteous fury 3/3
  • No salvation
  • Spaming Greater blessing of kings on 9 warriors
  • 1 second wind (trinket) and 1 mana potion used, barely gives more threat
Threat generated after 1minit is ~22.000 with 41 casts.

Second one is an Ouro fight May 7th of 2024 :

  • Improved righteous fury 3/3
  • No salvation
  • Spaming Greater blessing of kings on 11 warriors
  • 1 mana potion and 1 dark rune used, barely changes threat
Threat generated after 1minit is ~12.000 with 38 casts.

The question is, why are the threat so different ?
I suspect a change in the way blessings work since Sod and Hardcore share the same build, but I can’t find anything in the patch notes or topic about it anywhere (beside 5y old topic on reddit).

I’m not sure I can share log links here, but if you are intriged I can send them privatly!
If you are wondering, the idea of generating threat as a paladin on Ouro is to lure the sandblast away from the raid for safety. Casting blessing has proven to generate enough threat so dps can safely damage the boss and not risk a sandblast in the raid.
It’s been an essential strategy in hardcore Ouro as far as I remember.
Open for question / inputs !

All I experienced was changes to the droprates of quest times but it wouldn’t surprise me that other stuff is affected. I said it before, I wonder what is going to break when they release the 60 content in sod

How did you get into the Temple of Ahn’Qiraj in SoD?

He didn’t. But some of the changes they did for SoD affected HC version of the game as well
