Do I just remember it wrong, or were there male nelf archers in one of the wars?

In War Craft 2, Elven archer units were male voiced If I remember correctly
They died with the 90% of the High Elven population
But I guess the Sin’dorei, Quel’dorei and Ren’dorei have some survivors
The Ren’dorei totally, called Umbral Rangers
