Did you ever wonder how Anduin managed to leave the maw?

We’ll rescue him, by the way. The Jailer will use us to get Anduin out, and probably will use us to get himself out.

Someone asked last year “Why didn’t the jailer put guards in front of the portal out of the maw?”

Maybe… just maybe, the Jailer sees the value in someone who can enter and leave the maw as they wish. Maybe Ve’nari is in league with him and everything they do is somehow to prepare us to get the Jailer out.

PS: His hitbox is too big, he can’t fit through the portal. Gonna need a mage to sheep him.

My guess is after Anduin is corrupted the Jailer probably sets him free or allows him to be rescued by us in Torghast. Of course we will just assume like the others we have rescued that Anduin is just suffering from the affects of being in Torghast and tortured and not corrupted fully.

In my opinion, if it’s Ve’nari who tells us we can rescue Anduin, that will be a HUGE red flag.

As Bolvar peers into The Maw and Torghast, my guess is he will be the one who sees that Anduin can be rescued and gives us the quest to go to Torghast, as he has with the others.

I think the excuse will be that the light didnt leave Anduin so he was able to venture, “escape” and wander around like Jaina was when we rescued her.

Or… since we saw portals from the Maw opening left and right and he “saved” Kel’thuzad who studied the whole thing; he simply opened one portal like they did in Maldraxxus… and sent Anduin thrugh it to do the job
Remember, everyone and their mother know the Maw Walker Team came to the Shadowland to save their leaders from the Maw
And Kyrestia was a bit surprised to see Anduin in Bastion… I guess, if we would save Anduin, the news would been out sooner than we arrive in Oribos; the Maw-Walkers got what they came for!
And if you noticed, none of the leaders returned to Azeroth after their torment in the Maw/Thorgast… sending messages, sure, but not in person. I guess exactly for this; nobody know the long term effect on their mind and soul.
But in the case of Anduin, we saw Sylvanas and the Jalier, and Anduin and whats happened there… thanks to the fragment of the Helm
So if someone would accidently bump to Anduin in the maw or “heroicly save him” from the Tower, he would be under watchfull eyes, more than the others, because we know the jailer had plans for him… not roaming freely from realm to realm…
But then again, this is Blizzard story team so… :man_shrugging:

YES! Thank you! That is literally the first thought I had “Okay, how did he get out the maw? Are we gonna save him for the Jailer and allow this to happen? I knew he was letting us come in and out for a reason.”

And I love Ve’nari but I knew from day 1 she was probably working for Sylvanas or something.

Yes I also think Venari is working with the Jailor. She’s too safe and free to do what she wants. She has a deal going on.

Wait, wait, you have a point. How do these “death valkyr” travel all over the place? They were even in Azeroth, and as far as I know they come from the maw? Hmmm

Helya has something to do eith it. Its her Valkyr.

The others of her kind surely had good reason for wanting her tracked down. I remember the mini event where one of them comes to give you a survey then asks about her.

Oh, right, she can travel all over the place too… It’s as if being the champion of azeroth isn’t all that special huh

I would happily have left them all in the Maw/Torghast.

Considering Anduin got all stabby, I think it’s fairly obvious how he got out.

Meanwhile Ven’ari be like:

Here, take this and set one arm of the Primus free.

Lol, just give me one more :joy:

When I watched the cutscene I was like:

“WHY ARE THEY INVITING HIM IN?! There was NO news of his rescue from any of your contacts or from Oribos, but he’s randomly turned up at your big boss’s doorstep unannounced etc with none of his allies?”

It’s kind of like your best friend’s friend goes awol, apparently they went into a cult. Then one day out of the blue your best friend’s friend turns up at your doorstep eager to chat.

I’d be like heck no and not open the door!

Remember that the Kyrians vouched for him because of his noble character. Seeing how they observe mortals on Azeroth for all their lives, they had good reasons to think that this guy is nothing to worry about.

The fact that mortals leave the Maw left and right, fairly unharmed, led them to believe he did too.

Not saying it was wise but they didn’t have enough reasons to be suspicious of him.

Which gives us more reasons to doubt Venari and her intentions. The whole saving of the other leaders was a well orchestrated plan on the Jailor’s part. And I bet he also gave us access to Runecarver. Don’t think Venari would have had the means to break into Torghast and do all her shenanigans alone.

Also the Brokers are no saints. There’s something very fishy about them as well. They aren’t looking for Venari because they’re the good guys.

I wonder did he had to help around bastion like we did before getting permission to talk with Archon.
