I was in a dungeon yesterday with a player who is forced to play an alt because he cannot play his main.
The reason? He has too much HP.
Every group he joins he gets immediately kicked out of because the other players look at his HP, tell him “too much HP, you tank, you take tank loot”, and then kick him.
So yeah, I’ll second this claim.
People are finding plenty of ways to be garbage humans without RDF.
You know how FFXIV solved this problem? Not by removing the dungeon tool.
They actually have human GMs, who actually punish players for behaving like a-holes.
Not whatever this pathetic excuse for an AI blizzard is using right now.
for me ? no, for lazy gits that will rather chain queue RDF than find themselves a guild or too lazy to look for a decent guild … it would seem whining on the forums for the worst feature ever in the history of WoW is the go-to “solution” …
exactly the opposite, my whole argument is that the no-RDF is objectively BETTER for the game as a whole and YOU are the one that wants it in for YOUR convenience and the rest of us be damned …
I ask this everytime, what engagement do u get? people flaming each other, kicking others out of group cause poor class to cleave the meta, ninja looting, etc. Truly engaging and non toxic experiences
not surprising as you cant seem to think about anything other than yourself …
I instead am interested in keeping the whole GAME COMUNITY … you know the OTHER people engaged as it is better for the game, for EVERYONE not me personally …
thats your whole line, you want your convenience and do not care one bit that it already DESTROYED the retail …
the need to look for a guild
the want to put people i ran dungeons with and had a good time on a friend list
THAT is what lack of RDF brings…
not for everyone of course, antisocials will always beg for RDF instead because its easier …
but thats the WHOLE POINT, RDF is TOO convenient, it removes this social obstackle that normally is solved by joining a guild and making friends and replaces it by automated tool.
RDF doesn’t change this cause RDF only gives you access to a very limited aspect of the game.
There are very few people who play the game exclusively for 5 mans. And those who do? Hell, more power to them for enjoying the game the way they want to, I’d want them to have a good time!
Majority of the community doesnt do this lol, this is a u thing.
but thats the WHOLE POINT, RDF is TOO convenient, it removes this social obstackle that normally is solved by joining a guild and making friends and replaces it by automated tool.
RDF doesnt make it too convenient and no there is no social obstacle that forces u to join a guild to do dungeons, how do u tihnk mythics operated in retail? all this opens up for is more raider io scores but cool
pretty much, which means RDF or no RDF it makes little difference to me personally
which means unlike you i DONT have a need to push anything that would benefit myself …
duh …
guess what, this is old Vanilla char i dont plan to play much in Wrath as i have 3 OTHER 70s ready to go …
also who the F cares about logs in prepatch ?
and lastly, yet again you grasp at the crutch of pointless AdHominems … congratulations on yet another loss … guess you cant help yourself but to announce LOUDLY when you lose an argument …
oh so 1/10th of the sub numbers WoW had BEFORE the RDF crippled the MMO aspect of the game isnt enough for you ?
and lastly the damage is already done there, even if the devs finally crippled the need for RDF on retail now, its too late.
which is exactly why RDF has no place here, no need to repeat the mistakes of the past
oh so 1/10th of the sub numbers WoW had BEFORE the RDF crippled the MMO aspect of the game isnt enough for you ?
Multiple pple had pointed out how wrong this is on the forums already, wow hit its maximum subs for its life, the only thing left is to go down and it wasnt rdf that ruined it cause wotlk still had steady subs even when it was implemented. Cataclysm was the issue not rdf but everyone got that copium that rdf is the cause
I think what he meant was that you need to prove that the drop in subscriber count was attributed to RDF, and not to any of the other changes made to the game in Cataclysm and subsequent expansions.
For example the lack of endgame dungeons in Cataclysm. Or the lack of content updates in WoD. Or the BFA/SL story being based off a bonk-worthy Sylvanas fanfiction.
