Difference between Eu and US economy

Why didn’t the US wow server economies didn’t crash ? But EU servers as so low people are questioning why bother ?

Watch alot of gold makers on Twitch and youtuber , the US haven’t been affected at all in terms of materials , pets , transmog.

On Eu mog is going for so low and materials are completely worthless.

So what happened ? We got the same gold sinks , why did EU players so ravagely undercut whereas the US players were happy to sit it out.

Why at 6k items on AH my total AH value is at 6 million gold whereas a US player on the same kind of Full realm has 37 million value with less items ? Did EU just get desperate ? Undercutting to the point we all got essentially screwed ?

PS yes this char is a on low pop realm but my main and most played alts are on full to high pop realms. So no need to point that out tyvm.

Fewer items would mean higher value, so that makes sense.

How so ? I’ve got mog that’s litteraly worthless. Selling at 9g , 20g , 30g. The same items over on US are going for 12x that price and more.

All ore going for less than 3g each except pyrite and khorium.}

Still doesn’t answer my question how come the US never got it this bad ? They had drops sure but never sank like EU realms are suffering.

Many people from war torn regions where job market is not so good play on EU servers ,so there is way more gold farmers .
Just look token gold value NA/EU

We have more multiboxers.

US are lazier

Market 101.

Supply and demand determines the price of an item.

When there’s a high demand, the price goes up, undercutting goes down.

When there’s a high supply, the demand won’t be enough, so prices go down and undercutting goes up.

Basic economy.

Based on this, Why do you think US as you put it, has better prices and EU people constantly undercut each other?

More competitive region kekw

EU is a bigger and more competitive region as a whole, there is arguably a bigger multi boxing scene and the servers themselves on average are bigger on EU (though we will see where we end up after the connections).

Those would be the main reasons if I had to guess. Different Regions have different Economies, its totally different on TW & KR servers as well.

Generally everything is cheaper on US servers, from herbs to tcg mounts. It’s hard to believe your words that transmog go much higher there.
Also “value” of transmog items is very vague, because expensive transmog items are rarely being sold at all. It’s just goldseller mafia keep them in AH, the sam way like they continuesly repost tcg mounts for gold cap.

Actually interested in this… lets see

Just going off zin’anthid cause its more ore less the standard herb I get the following regional values:

  • EU: 2.80g
  • US: 6.99g
  • TW: 14.41g
  • KR: 38.50g

All data taken from undermine journal, for example: https://theunderminejournal.com/#tw/hellscream/item/168487

So for herbs thats definitely not true, for TCG mounts, I feel like a major reason for that is they got duped alot on US servers in Cata/Wod times and many people got them for cheap, the effects of which are still somewhat felt today.

i am sorry i couldn’t figure out where are those numbers there

they were cheaper since vanilla, mounts were duped on EU as well, i got most of them in wod for like 100k each or even lower, actually cheaper than in cata (for example i paid 250k or so for corrupted hippogryph in cata), despite all gold from mission table going around.

in the summary at the top it says “TW median Price”, thats the regional average, you can change the “tw” in the URL to one of eu, us, kr to get the other regions, I just search through the hellscream server page cause thats the only server name that is used in every wow region.

You were at risk for having the mount removed tho and no gold compensation. I remember there being an abundance of Sand Drakes on the AH way below craft price (and thats just taking the vendor mats into consideration. Not even the flasks) because of the duping and alot of people had their mounts manually removed. Same goes for the Spectral Tiger.

I didnt know about dupe when AH was flooded with tcg mounts, it became apparent only after they all suddenly disappeared from AH :unamused:
I only miss 4 tcg mounts so far, ghastly charger (never poped in AH somehow), both spectrals (were still too expensive to my taste) and some drake (i was waiting for it to get even cheaper).

I was only paying attention to it because i wanted to sell the Sand Drake but after the price dropped below crafting value it was utterly pointless to begin with.

If prices are dropping it’s because people aren’t interested in what you’re selling, or too many people are selling that item. It also depends on how much raw gold there is in the region. Since the numbers are made up anyway whether it’s 6k or 60k depends on how much gold people have in general.

Americans are a different Breed to EU … And Draenor is cheapest server :)))
