Notice in all these definitions how often the term advanced is used, or DEVELOPED a certain degree of progression. Night elves of the Long Vigil group had no civilization during that era. They had a culture, they had societies, but civilizaiton was on hold.
There was no high level of societal organization or development during this phase… and it’s not to say they don’t know how to, or incapable, this is not what I get from that. Their history shows us they are quite capable and intelligent and certainly no how, but are not doing what we call civilization during this era.
this is fine. It doesn’t mean they’re not civilized, nor does it mean they’re not advanced. They’re just not living like that during that period. This is all it means. They have proven they have civilziation and advanced culture, we are told this in WotA trilogy and wc3 manual. The long vigil night elves are neither primitive savages nor regressed society. They are just doing things differently in that era, because they are on a task. It leasts 10,000 years, but for that period they don’t do urbanization, cities or civilization.
Anyway, what I am calling civilization is cities, advanced infrastructure etc, a lifestyle that is building one, like a primitive culture, may have the beginnings of civilization, and eventually grow into one, but they do not have one. This is not the night elves.
