Diffuse magic - Sepsis?

Hey guys,

The spell says:

Reduces magic damage you take by 60% for 6 sec, and transfers all currently active harmful magical effects on you back to their original caster if possible.

But Sepsis is Magic dmg (nature) (also S3 magic absorb trinket works aagainst it) but why isnt that working on rogues Sepsis (the transferring back thing)?

Maybe there is a not known explanation for this but its a bit annoying.

Thanks

Because it’s poison effect and not a magic

It shouldnt even reduce the damage, neither should the trinket. Sepsis should go through every immunity and reduction in the game.

I think it doesn’t reverse Poisons, Curses, and Diseases, but simply Magic effects (the blue ones).

It does reduce the damage though because it is magic damage. Damage type and spell category are a bit different in this game.

It shouldn’t even require the button being pressed, as soon as you enter the arena, everyone, even your own team should automatically get affected with Sepsis and 100% healing reduction, so you we can be the last one standing every game.

It should cancel the subscription(of the dispeller) upon being dispelled instead of reducing it’s CD

No thats in interest of the player, instead it should autocharge their credit card for a 6 month sub and preorder Dragonflight Collectors edition.

Why are you leaking insider secrets from blizzard hq? That thing was planned for week before the launch of expansion. Now Bobby is after your head.

I’ve been locked in Bobbys closet for 3 months now, my eyelids held open to endlessly having to watch Shadowlands cinematics and clips of Bobby on his furywarrior ā€œBigyachtdaddyā€ pwning noobs.
By leaking this information I seek the sweet release of death.

Shadenox will agree with you on this. I believe that when he wakes up every morning, he goes to a mirror and tells himself : ā€œsepsis is fine, it is fine, fineā€¦ā€ and logs in.

Tfw Shade is one of only two people actually responding to OP with sincerity and he gets memed on.

But ye, magical effects are not synonymous with magic damage. Sepsis is a poison effect that deals nature (magic) damage. Kind of like how Devouring Plague is a disease that deals shadow (also magic) damage.

The category of the debuff itself is what’s important to note here, not necessarily whether it’s magical or physical.

Assassination and Sepsis are so broken that Assa is one of the least played specs in the entire game and is the least played Rogue spec in both 2v2 and 3v3. I guess everyone just plays Sub and Outlaw instead to give everyone else a chance.

I’m not meming on Shadenox, was joining in on this guys joke

Yeah assa is not the sharpest tool in the shed for rogue specs, doesn’t change the fact that Sepsis is an overtuned, annoying gimmick nonetheless.

There you go, fixed it for you. Sepsis is one of the easiest offensive cooldowns in the entire game to respond to.

I see your point, Convoke is equally easy to counter. It still shouldn’t chunck you to 0% in 2 ticks. These reaction-check bursts are simply annoying to deal with.

I am absolutely fine with letting people such as this cyrilic named Paladin how stupid one can be when they dodge any and every attempt at education in their lives.

Some people’s stupidity and mediocrity has no cure.

Being rude for no reason shows how intelligent and non-mediocre the person is, indeed.

Sepsis is fine… it is fine.
It is really easy to respond to. I tell you.

Ye I know, I meant Mr Paladin. = P

We have different interpretations of annoying then. I could list 10 other annoying things before Sepsis even entered my thought process.

There is a saying that goes ā€œyou reap what you sowā€.

Show me the 45k tics. Mine haven’t crit over 14k at the absolute highest of highest rolls so I would very much like to know the ways.

By the way, I’m leaving this here so that more people can rage at NF Assa, there is currently a bug (that I do not use because I have a sense of self respect) that allows you to apply the 4P set bonus twice to Sepsis. In PvE it tics in 2.5s instead of 5s. In PvP it simply goes to 4.4s instead of 6.7s or so. Some people are abusing it knowingly, and some people are using it without even knowing it, due to how it triggers.

Enjoy arenas.
