So a guy can use his 1st CC that is usually 6 sec then his second which should be 3 and then another random CC that is around 4 sec and then retreat. That’s like 13 sec CC of waiting. Ok.
But someone at blizz decided that diminishing returns return at 18 sec, am i right?
That means the dude needs to wait for like 5 sec before doing it all again since CC have such short CD.
Sooo … my question is … how did you guys calculate that DR should be exactly 18 sec? And why not increase it AND show players some way to track it since it’s a such pain in the players side to be in CC and to track it ?

If you stun 6 sec, then 3 sec, means AFTER the 3 seconds stun is finished, the dr takes 18 seconds to get back to full duration.
Every time a cc is finished, the dr is counting back from 18 seconds.
When an ability with diminishing returns is used against a target in PvP, the first effect has full PvP duration. If the same category of effect (e.g. root) is used on that target within 18 seconds, that effect’s duration is reduced by 50%. On the third use, the duration is reduced by 75%. After this, the target is immune from all effects in that category for the next 18 seconds.
Tonight I got Kidney shot, then Cheap shot, Cheap shot, Cheap shot in less than 18 sec for 999th time when I play vs rogue so …
I don’t know which one is worse:
PvP devs thinking it’s ok to not play their game for so long WHILE IN ARENA (because being in stun equals to not play the game at all)
The wait time to actually play the arena
This is just some cheat that rogues are using that goes for months and PvP devs just don’t care.
I do believe the company that now manage WoW have exactly 0 (zero) PvP testers and it’s up to us to tell them that something must be done.
I do believe when the next expansion comes there will be at least 1 month of time where the playerbase will pinpoint exactly the class that is the most broken and the devs will sleep on it, hence the term flavour of the month (not week or day)
I do believe Diminishing returns were invented because players were annoyed how CC worked back in the days. So the blizz devs made it to be like 30 sec DR with all CC back in the days it wouldn’t be changed 10 + years from then ?
Also - if you strongly believe that 18 sec MUST be the window that we can play, why half the duration then ? Who came with that idea anyway ?
