They are going to implement a new system, namely dragonflight and maybe future expansions way of borrowed power, by allowing us to choose more talents in the tree than our level (points) allow. Whether stick that on tier sets, add a hard to get currency or from PvP ratings etc, they will do this.
Mark my words when I tell you that this is the new carrot on the strings so to speak.
Well they said the idea is for the next expansion to just add more points as we level up with only adding a couple more talents or without adding any.
If they do what u said here, than it would kinda be pointless. It means that during Dragonflight we will get aditional talent poins with our gear (or whatever system), but than when we go to the next expainsion we will lose those points just to get them again by leveling.
I hear that.
However additional points to talent into what is there. Next xpac I assume there will be new rows.
I don’t see what’s wrong with this, it’s hardly borrowed power if the talents are always there to be selected.
Unless they keep the trees past the end of DF, your entire class is now “borrowed power” anyway, due to how almost everything is in the tree.

Well, I know what you had in mind, but in some way that’s the whole point of a game. Just let’s hope they make the carrot big and juicy 
When chasing the rabbit is over, in most cases the game fun is over with it.

If by this you mean clear normal raid get one point extra, clear HC an additional point and clear Mythic get another point. Get extra point for M+ rating. Then I’m all for it. Nice way for me to earn my strength and differentiate my player power and customisation by my activities. The same as some one that puts effort into rated pvp to get gladiator gear.
